ATL Gas Crisis

Anyone else been forced to put in regular? It may be in my head, but the engine doesnt seems to run as smooth and its louder (with a slight knocking noise)...

This sucks.

Make a trip up to forsyth or gwinette. Plenty of gas up there. Fulton/Dekalb have different regulations because of the smog problem in Atlanta. We have to use different gas they don't.

I had to put regular in once last week... I didn't have a choice. It was either put regular in or miss a meeting with a prospective client. Obvious choice there. I put in a tad over a 1/4 tank to get me where I needed to go and filled up with premium as soon as I was able to find it.

I run 87 all the time, I don't notice a diff. between it and 91, but I'm at 5300' which makes a huge difference. If I run 85 (did for 2 tanks) I lose some MPGs

I've used two tanks of regular the past two weeks and I feel like the engine makes weird noises, probably in my head like gyoza said. Good news is QT should have plenty of gas according to the news.

Had to put 87 when I was down there last week to pick my car from Nalley Infiniti. I did not notice any knocking. But I prefer to fill the recommended premium just in case.

with 11:1 compression ration I wouldnt risk it or keep off the pedal til you can get the right stuff....the higher the compression the higher the octane..
