I have an update!!

Well dropped my car into Westside with Norman and the following was the result:

1. Steering wheel paint issue: Taken care of new steering wheel face plate which was peeling. $$ No Charge

2. Transmission TSB (found here): Applied accordingly along with another TSB that I will post soon. Reflashed TCM. $$ No Charge

3. Brake Pedal Squeak Sound with car off: Lubed and ensured good operation. $$ No Charge

4. 15K Premium Service Requested: Done. $$ 220.00

5. Aftermarket Wipers would fly off on High Speed setting: Replaced both with brand new oem units both sides. $$ No Charge

6. Strange Exhaust Zing metallic sound: As I drove away with a 2012 Loaner Base Sedan like mine I realised it was normal. Ugly but normal. Wish it was just the throaty exhaust note. The addded rasp in the mid section is pretty poor. Checked and diagnositic $$ No Charge

7. Post purchase inspection bought from local wholesaler: Done noticed bad reaer rotors and pads. Inspection was $$ No Charge.

8. The rear brake rotor turning and pads. $$ 270.00

Ended up 560.00 with the trunk net mounts I bought from the parts department. Walked out pretty happy. Norman took very good care of me and I will be giving him a very good review when Infiniti calls. 36 hours from drop off to pick up and car was detailed upon arrival.

I was helped by Brian Watson (Asst. Mgr) @West Houston Infiniti and I'm happy you got the steering wheel trim replaced free of charge but felt I was lied to. He made it seem I was getting that taken care of free of charge then charged me for labor when the car was done. I'm still waiting on infiniti consumer affairs to get back to me.

And also my car only has 19K miles after almost 4 years of use. This is on average 420 miles a month and about 5000 a year so for such low use the chipping was indeed presumed to be abnormal.

Mine has 29k and is an 08. It's a known defect which is why your new trim isn't the same finish. I have an extended warranty by the way. If its normal wear and tear then your factory warranty wouldn't have covered it either.

No it was "abnormal peeling" which would cancel out wear and tear. And the finish is identical to the old one. I had them give me the old one so I could have it wrapped in CF vinyl.

My car has averaged less than 500miles a month. It was treated perfect and happened to be my neighbors car (which was really weird like 4 houses down from me) he explained to me that he buys all his Infinity's from westside. They were very familiar with the car and my neighbors family. They knew exactly how little he used it, that helped alot in them warrantying alot of things. They did well by me partly because my neighbor bought like 5 cars from them so they think bc were neighbors I will do the same. And they serviced my car since it was new. I got really lucky.

You did indeed. Infiniti consumer affairs took care of me. They said its a tsb so it doesn't matter if it was within or outside warranty. Never should have been covered. West houston Infiniti quickly called me after my survey. I told the service manager this is a know issue and my steering wheel trimmed replaced is not the same material. He kept on denying it and saying I didn't have the manufacturer's warranty. I stated so under what premise does the manufacturer's warranty cover this issue over an extended warranty. He had no reply. I will be getting my car serviced elsewhere even if it costs me more gas due to the way their management behaves.
