It's not a bad idea, but I'd like solutions to come from those that have the problem.

Members have the option to use the iTrader system to rate any transaction, vendor or private sale, and also to make specific comments but few people even make use of it. There's an entire subforum in the vendor forum for any member to post regarding their good or bad vendor experiences as well where post about the whole experience in their own words. Some people have made use of it so far. But what I want to know is what specifically would those who have a problem with lack of vendor screening suggest be done to make it to their satisfaction? How should vendors be screened before being allowed to sell to members? What's the criteria?
I agree there should be some better diligence done by IB when it comes to selecting vendors to advertise with MyG37.com or any other site. If I knew of a way for them to address that I certainly would provide my best answer.

However, with the issues at hand there should be a way that a member can rate a vendor and also do so either anonymously or acknowledged, which that is also something that this site is lacking. See that's the whole purpose that a rating system would address. Sure people could use the iTrader system, but I'm not sure how effective it is as I have never heard of it before now and when I want to buy something I will rarely use iTrader or something to that nature to research the vendor before buying. As I want the product and I want to buy it now.

If we had a way to rate a vendor on this site, right on the users profile or on the vendors profile, it would make things much easier and simplier to qualify that vendor and also build creditability. Some sites also allow for Testimonials to be published under a users profile, personally I think this is a great way to go. You can click on Vendor, from the Vendor Directory find the Vendor, click and find the user rating and also find the testimonials that others have posted. It builds creditability to those smaller/larger vendors that have superior service and quality, while it also separates those subpar vendors that have little to no feedback or rating. I think if IB initiated something like this it could be beneficial to users as well as the vendors.

The fact of the matter is the users experience typically comes after the purchase of the product/item, if the experience is poor or subpar, it is then that triggers the chain of blame events. There really should be a way to rate vendors without having to search the web and various sources to find out about a particular vendor. This would be a great way to take some of the heat off of IB as users could rate their experience on this site. If you know that a vendor is subpar because that vendor has little to no feedback and is ranked low, would you still buy from that vendor? - I wouldn't.

Hm... I have sent IB about my G35Driver premier membership... and haven't yet heard anything from them. That was about a month ago.

My understanding is that I have earned an "extra" year from a raffle at HB Meet and should not have been expired so soon... on top of that, they have automatically renewed my membership without any notice resulting in being charged on my card. I thought the auto renewal was disabled with these sites?

Why doesnt the owners here just verify vendors before allowing them to post?

I recently signed up on *****.com and they said they verify every single vendor before allowing them to sell anything.
