I am generally happy to see such an influx of new members here. The more members we have, the more likely there will be someone to come up with that cool new mod, or discover something new and cool about our cars that the rest of us missed, or just share experiences. At least in theory...
What is more realistic is that we're getting folks whose first car is the G37 (nothing wrong with that) that need advice, guidance, and answers and instead of registering and reading the freakin' stickies and browsing the content here and answering their questions, they immediately start a "How do you reset the ECU?" "Who makes intakes for our cars?" or "Will this void my warranty?" threads. It's annoying to click "New Threads' and instead find the same old threads just asked again (and again) over and over by new members. Is it possible in some way to force new members to have read all the stickies before having the ability to start a new thread? If not, can they be required to have a certain post count in other threads or be registered for a certain amount of time before having "New Thread" priviliges?
Where are the "It's-a-repost-I'm locking-this-redundant-thread-Noob!" ***** like I find so frequently on other forums?

all noobs should be REQUIRED to watch AT LEAST this video
all noobs should be REQUIRED to watch AT LEAST this video
Amen! Is it possible to make it mandatory to watch this video first before having the privilege (not right) to post? It seems like a majority of new threads lately are repost questions, items in the sickies, or just people who won't read their manual.

That just starts them out on the wrong foot whereas letting them know from the start is more productive IMO. Besides, some of them get flamed and still don't have a clue unless you spell it out for them.
I personally would rather do it right from the start and not get flamed at all. Particularly by some of the a-holes we call our fellow members here!

But like you said there will be some who still get flamed, but not as many if done from the start.
