My G for sale
Yep, that's right, but you can't buy it from me
I am picking up a number's matching 1969 Mustang Mach 1, 4 spd. with a big block 390 shaker on Saturday. Complete restoration to the Marti report and it is sick. No exhaust mods necessary on this one...
My good friend Jaime Fernandez at Field's bought back my 3,800 mile G and it is as it was delivered to me. If anyone in the Chicago area is looking for a showroom perfect G then call him up and go get it now. I would put the G in my top 3 of all time cars I have ever owned and wish I had time to drive it more.
I'll continue to offer my special brand of off-tempo humor as I was really here to have fun with you all and obviously based on my mileage it wasn't all about the G. This is a fun place to spend time sharing our collective automotive passion and other things

How about some more info on that Mach?
Sorry I didn't post on this earlier but I was busy. I have been dreaming of owning a Mach 1 most of my life. I almost bought one at the age of 14 for $3500. It was a '69 Mach 1 with a 390 (no shaker) in ok shape (not good) but I only had half the money. Ever since then I've held a little grudge against my parents. Then, when I was 17 or 18 we (as a family) almost bought a 428 CJ with shaker from Telstar (http://www.telstarmotors.com/showroom.html). Over the last couple years (I'm in my mid 30's now) I've really stareted to lean towards the Boss 302 though. I like the rear fenders without the vents and the car was more Trans Am oriented than dragstrip.
I think I have a model of that exact car and color scheme in my collection downstairs. White with red stripe, but I can't remember if it's a Revell or a Monogram.
Anyway, I am so happy for you and hope you really enjoy the new ride. I'm going to pm you another link I want you to take a look at.
