i just got the same camera with the 18-55mm lens and 75-300mm lens

 

i bought the 50mm/f1.8 lens last night from a Ritz Camera store. i paid $100, but i know you can get it for around $80 online. It was worth the extra $20 to have it last night. Wezbian and i went up to the hills and took a few night shots.

a few of these were made with a 30 second exposure time, which is why they're so bright and colorful. just know that these were all at about 10pm. didn't have time to edit any of these, so they're just right out of the camera.







the dots you see in the sky on this one are stars!

 

I love the headlights in that last pic. Was that a 30s exposure or just the night ones?

 

that last two shots are long exposures. the pic with the rear quarter was a 30s exposure and the last one is a 13s exposure. i love how much color was able to be captured!

how do you like the 50 1.8? i really haven't used mine much

 

dude, i'm loving the 50/1.8. the shallow depth of field is crazy! i love the amount of blur you get before and after the focal plane. i'm a sucker for blur.

the optics of the lens are top notch per the price you pay.

you must have a better angle or crop it and edit it to have a better result.


I like the last photo with the light effect. it's awesome.
