Anyone know a smog check place that actually accepts CARB legal 50 state mods when getting your smog check? Just came back from a place in San Jose that stated that any modification to intake will fail. I told him that the intake has a Carb legal sticker and number but he said if its not stock he cant pass it.

I live in east san jose.... any local members help is appreciated.

I got mine done at Smog Pros on 43 S Abbott street in Milpitas this morning. Just explained that its Smog Legal and showed them the carb sticker. They looked up the EO number and found it so no problems there incase anyone has problems with smog in the future.

 

Call the state referee and report them. If they don't know how to properly smog vehicles they shouldn't be doing it. I used to work for the state referee and can answer pretty much any smog related question.

 

yeah sounds like they dont know what CARB Legal is
