Think you can get a group rate through or with your discount, connoisseurr?
I'd be glad to look into it. I'd like to know how many folks would be interested in staying at either of the places above.

It looks like Woodlands Inn rate would be at most $135.00 and Quality Inn rate would be at most $65.00

Woodlands Inn has great reviews and is a bit nicer in quality, than "Quality" Inn, LOL.

Exactly why I brought it up. Hopefully we'll get some more buy in before you see what you can arrange.

And so... I officially dub you Connoisseurr, Master of the Meet-up Accomodations. (Congratulations, buddy. )

From what I can tell just now, Woodland looks like twice the price, but worth it. I'm good either way.

I'm on it, Boss. I also have Wyndham hotel group discounts. I found this location as well. Looks like a nice clean place and the prices is definitely a good deal. I'll look into this hotel and the Woodlands.

All, please let me know if you plan to stay overnight and would like to jump in on a group rate (if any) exists. I'd like an estimate (or exact if possible) number of rooms before I start working with hotels.

Repeated for emphasis.

Connoisseurr, if you don't feel like you're getting enough response in the time frame you're working with, go to the first post and snag the distribution lists for bulk PM's.

Good job, Connor. Thank you in advance for doing this leg work.

I'd prefer the Woodlands.

I'm looking at either the Woodlands or the Hilton in Scranton, both are about the same price at $103.

Show me $103 for The Woodlands. If that's what you see, I want to stay there for that price.

Agreed. I'm good with dropping $100 for the Woodlands. If we can get a group together, can't see why they wouldn't accommodate that price point.

My bad... I really need to stop speed reading things... I saw the Woodlands at $159 a night.

oh man. Just found out that my president's club trip from work might be the 26th to the 30th.

is it sick that I'm contemplating going to my all expense paid trip to somewhere in the Caribbean a day late just to make this meet?

Not really. Trips come and go, and the Caribbean isn't going away. But a meet-up of modified G37 Sedans... that's an uncommon event.

Of course, I'm also going to the DR in May for vacation sometime, so that's easy for me to argue.

I have $135 a night with my discount so I'm going to inquire about getting a group rate, say at $100? I'll push for it. If any of you have AAA, that will help the rate go down a bit more as well, or maybe help them justify a good price drop.

Maybe I'll run into you. Planning on going to DR or PR around Memorial Day.

Had some PM's today with Choman about the times. I had arbitrarily selected Noon (12:00 PM) as the time to meet up. If there are a lot of people driving 4 hours or more away, would it make sense to bump that out a little?

How about planning on being at the park between 1:00 to 2:00 PM?

Does that sound more realistic?
