How about planning on being at the park between 1:00 to 2:00 PM?

Does that sound more realistic?
I am not sure whether or not I am going to be there at the meet. However if I were to join, between 1:00 and 2:00pm sounds more realistic.

I'm good with the woodlands, I'm usually a hilton guy but the group is where it's at. Actually, after a little more thought since I'll have three or four nights in a hotel I'll probably lean towards the hilton at $103. If we can get the rate at the woodlands closer to that then I'd be game.

I'll defer to Connor for the meet time since we'll be rolling with him.

Damn guys. I may get to go the Arkansas around Memorial Day, what am I doing wrong?!

Whenever works really. I'm a morning person so 8AM doesn't bother me. The later meet time works for me however I'd still like to be on the road by 9 - the earlier the better IMO. Less morons on the road.

I was thinking of bringing a small grill to have a little cookout if any one wanted some burgers/dogs/brats while we are in the park. I meant to check if they have stationary charcoal grilles there in case I don't need to bring mine.

We have some G/Z meets here quite often and get the local Infiniti dealers involved. They get people looking at their newer offering and in turn provide swag and lunch. I think there is a dealer near Wilkes-Barre you guys could ask to "sponsor" the meet.

That would be fantastic. Everyone should bring something... dogs, burgers, chips, fruit, water.

We should probably all have the foresight to each toss a lawn-chair in the trunk, too.

I'll have Zero throw on his apron and make a nice cake for the meet.

But really, a small BBQ would be awesome.

Well if PA state parks work just like VA and MD state parks, alcoholic beverages are "prohibited".

Looks like there are some picnicking areas throughout the park - they are visible on the map link below. Refer to the legend in the lower right corner, or look for all the symbols that represent a picnic table. Even though they have picnicking pavilions, I'd still recommend everyone bring a lawn chair for yourself in the event all the pavilions are taken when we arrive.

Hey if everyone wanted to bring a little something, that'll be great. I'll bring charcoal as I have a TON of natural hardwood charcoal sitting in the shed. I can bring some dogs/burgers/brats as well.

Who's got the lawn darts? LOL

Agreed. Not to get too parental on everyone, but let's leave our booze and bongs outside the park.

I'm definitely good with this. I don't want to be personally responsible for getting everyone kicked out of the park, nor do I want any one else to be "that guy". We can save the drinking shenanigans for the evening. I say Brad calls whatever bar we're at and picks up the first round

After phoning around to a few places in the area, all hotels only apply a group rate for at least 10 rooms or more. Also the group rate discount seems to be around 10%. Seeing as we won't meet the 10 room minimum, we may have to rely on solo discounts such as AAA and services like that.

I did ask The Woodlands and Hilton to see if they'd offer a discounted rate if we advertised for them but that was a no go.

OK. Well, good leg work, at the least. So thank you.

I think we should pick a hotel, so that overnight members stay at the same place, breakfast in the AM and all. In that theme... pick one, Connor.

I'll have a hotel chosen by Monday evening. Let me find one that is close enough to the state park and restaurants (in the event we all want to go out for drinks), with the right nightly rate.
