My very first digital camera was a 1997 Olympus D-320L. It used SSFDC memory (which has gone the way of the dodo), and took 1024x768 resolution images. No zoom, no features, but still very high end for its day. At the cutting edge of the second big wave of consumer digital cameras. IIRC, I think I paid $700 for it.

Looks like we're getting a little off topic here, hahaha.

My dad had the same camera! He's the one to blame for my interest in photography. He recently gave me two of his favorite 35mm film cameras, and I love how the pictures come out.

John / Connor - (I think we have a terminator reference possibity here) Would one of you trust me enough to PM me your address? I'd like to order some brats or beer sausages but they won't survive the trip from Memphis to Lexington, Sterling and then Wilkes-Barre. Need some freezer space please.

Thx!

From a NY bakery? With cookies from Brooklyn or the Egidio bakery in the Bronx? (Too pushy?)

I'll actually be heading into NYC later that week, may try to hit the Bronx on Tuesday for cookies and cannoli.

I wasn't planning on bringing a cooler. The only one I have is freaking huge anyway, so... check with Connor.

Turns out my car won't be dropped, either. N4S sent me the wrong springs.

Actually, they placed the order correctly on a drop-shipment. It was the wholesaler who provisioned the order incorrectly. You may or may not recall that it took a full week before the wholesaler even provisioned the order in the first place.

Nope. Not kidding. N4S did nothing wrong, however they might want to further diversify their wholesale connections.

[edit]

...and they never sent me the return shipment notice, even though they said they would. That means I can't get the springs in the FedEx system by Friday night. Here is it mid-day Saturday, and I still have no return shipment notice. So that's it, then. There's no way I can get the wrong springs returned in time for the correct springs to ship, get installed and aligned. The logistics just aren't there.

N4S could have taken charge of the situation and made it right. They chose not to. Go figure.

Man that's awful. Sorry to hear you're having such a rough time with this.

The deeper you get into the supply chain the tougher it is. When I handled our supply chain operation I was amazed at how few issues we had and at how many people were unwilling to pay for the expertise.

Two weeks, people. Who's getting their car prepared, now that we have some decent weather?

I've been claybar'ing and waxing sections of the car, time permitting. Today I cleaned the windows inside and out, then claybar'd the exterior glass, washed and treated with Rain-X. Damn rain-x is a b1tch to buff out. Going to get out the LEXOL for the leather interior later.
