New G37x Owner

Hey everyone! I am fairly new here although I have been spending my overnights at work browsing A LOT of the subjects about 37x sedans. I will be picking up my 37x tomorrow in Ohio. I actually am getting it from a guy that had it listed for sale in the classifieds so I am glad I can support a person instead of a dealership and look forward to joining this great community. Pictures will come soon after I get the car and I look forward to adding a few things to make it my own.

Thank you! It will be about a12 hour drive back to Minnesota from Cleveland Ohio. I look forward to learning a lot from you guys (I have already learned so much). The forums are what helped me choose the year I did because I read about the previous years gasket issues.

Southern MN. Not sure if the deal is going to happen tomorrow since they just cancelled my flight and I will now be arriving in Cleveland at midnight. The car might get pushed back a few days

That's fun. Last time I did this, I rented a one way through budget. If I walked from the deal and changed the rental drop point back to MSP, making it a round trip, the price would have gone up $30. So I was looking at a, max, $165 loss of the deal fell through. That was only to Chicago. I picked up our 2010 g37xs AE in Milwaukee... so I feel your pain.Grab some snow tires for the car, it makes dealing with winter roads fantastic.Good luck and hope all is working out

Nice choice with the AD! I will definitely be looking into done blizzaks or something for winter.

So unfortunately, I had to cancel my flight for today because I work tomorrow and can't get back in time if I was going to arrive at midnight. The deal is not over, just pushed back.

Well after a connection flight in Chicago and then 12 hour drive back from Cleveland Ohio to MN, (partially through lake effect snowstorm which was a great experience and allowed me to really test/have fun with the car), I finally have it. I will also probably add this picture to the obligatory thread for getting gas because thats the thing to do I guess. Now for it to warm up so I can start some installing!

How do you keep it so clean driving in the snow?

that is literally right after I picked it up. He had it clean, dry, and warm in a garage waiting for me. It is a complete mess right now as we are warmed up a bit and the roads are slush so the second I would wash it, it would get dirty again so I will wash it in a couple days

Congrats!! Good thing you got it home today, supposed to have another storm hit this weekend.

If the bumper is undrilled for the front plate, I found the Grimmspeed front plate bracket for the GTR is a fantastic fit... and a local company.

The front bumper is already drilled and plated. Just stopped at DMV today and went through the whole sha-bang of transfer...etc. Thanks for the recommendation though!
