New G owner

Hello all,

Just thought I would kick off the new year with a post of my "new" car, a 2013 G37x, silver and black. Wow, what a difference from my previous ride, a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT. While I really liked that car, the G is superior in almost every aspect. Luckily, the car wasn't titled (as a lease) until 2014, so I have some base warranty left.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks! I don't have any plans yet for modification. Any way to easily remove a couple hundred pounds?!?

The Subaru did feel a little more sure-footed in snowy weather. Also was a bit more nimble in parking lots!

But, on the whole I have no complaints about the G, other than why did I wait so long!

Best,
Mike

Many AWD owners swap the rear sway bar for a Sport model item. This greatly reduces the understeer Infiniti built into the car. Look in this site's classifieds forum. Coupe or sedan sway bars both fit your X. 370Z part fit, too, so you might look on My370Z forum.

Thanks everybody.

One sore spot. The car came with new tires... Ironman Imove gen2 ?!?!?!? Apparently they are made by "Hercules" tires?!? I suspect the previous owner slapped on the cheapest tires s/he could find for the lease turn-in.

Terrible tires (I think, but then the weather here does suck right now (snowy and very cold, salt covered roads).

So, I am looking at BFGoodrich Comp-2 a/s to replace them fairly soon (~$110 per tire locally)

Michelin Pilot AS3 (or something similar) is highly regarded. There's a thread in the Wheels&Tires forum about it.

@dr_fallout Tires for the Igeneration....

Given your location and depending on the budget you may consider getting a 2nd set of wheels with dedicated winter tires for the winter and summer tires for the other 3 seasons.
