Late Introduction......

So yeah I'm guilty of lurking (or what I like to call "Productive Researching") for the past 15 months and figured it's time to come out of the shadows and formally introduce myself to the community. I'm not new to a G (old car was an 07G35S sedan...kept it stock tho) which I loved but the mileage was getting high and it was time for an upgrade. Mynew/upgraded version is a 13 IPL Vert, Moonlight White w/Stone interier which I bought a couple of years ago off the local dealerships showroom floor. I was actually there to purchase a QX56 for the wife, but the manager made me a deal on both that I couldn't pass up!! So, on to my IPL and what's been done so far and what's to come in the future (sooner or later I'll get to a build thread...promise). In the meantime, I do have some crappy cell phone pics in my albulm on my profile page. Photo shoot will come once it's all done.

Mods so far (in the order they were done):
1. De-badged the ridiculous IFINITI letters off the back
2. Carsmo ***** installed (Thanks Ray...great customerservice )
3. Vinyl wrapped the roof high gloss black (Thanks unknowndesi for the DIY )
4. Vinyl wrapped the grille high gloss black (Thanks sTiLLBallin37 for the grille removal DIY, Thanks blnewt and others in the DIY threadfor wrapping it )
5. Vinyl wrapped the trunk lip high gloss black (Thanks ONEight for the removal DIY )
After it was reinstalled I noticed something had to bedone with the IPL, Mt Fugi, & G37 letters/numbers….the chrome just wasn’tworking well with the white/black theme...so OFF they came….which leads me to #6
6. I didn’t like the naked look so letters/numbers got a good sanding, paint job, and put back on….just a lil lower than OEM (had to do something with the space)
7. Next I had to get rid of that goofy dog tail of an antenna…..first buy was the black stubby, second buy was the white & black stubby….the white and black won!
8. Next up, I installed door projectors. Thought it may have looked a lil rice-ish before the install, but after seeing it at night, really like the way it lit up the door areas. Plus everyone that sees it at night thinks its pretty cool!
9. Then I made and installed a Grounding Kit (Thanks BlackBetty and AZg37..great DIY )

At this point, the only chrome left on the car was the window trim and Mt Fugi up front

10. So....had to Vinyl wrap the window trim (can’t believe I waited this long to do that….looks 100% better)

That’s where everything came to a halt……..wife said I couldn’t build a car and house at the same time (even threatened to take all my credit cards away if I bought 1 more thing for my car)

So, while my mod bug was in quarantine looking something like this (& the had the key) I spent my time researching (Search function is extremely helpful), talking to company reps (BC, SPC, Z1, Wheels Performance, Vossen, etc, etc, etc……), reading forum threads (or lurking if ya must ), pulling measurements, & basically getting a plan together.

The House is now built…. is moved in and all comfy…..time to get back to the mods!

Future Suspension Mods (Thanks Cereal2k for the insight):
11. Order/Install SPC front camber kits
12. Modify/Custom build Rear camber kits
12. Order/Install BC Coilovers
13. Order/install FSTB (GTSPEC or Cusco….undecided)

Future Wheels/Tire Mods:
13. Vossen VFS1 Gloss Graphite F20x9 +32; R20x10.5 +45;Tires: 255/35/20 fronts, 305/25/20 Rears (Thanks Diego@vossen; & Daniel @wheelsperformance )

Future Engine/Exhaust Mods:
14. Gen 3’s (like the way they look)
15. Full CB Meistercraft Exhaust w/ 130mm tips

Lastly……
16. gotta get her TUNED for

Much apologies for my late introduction and being a lil lengthy…..but now the community knows my plan. Like I’ve said, I’ve spent the last year using the search function and reading countless threads and have come to the realization that there’s a great number of forum members here with great information and GREAT insight regarding our prized possession G’s…Much thanks for the hospitality thus far!

Coy

Nice formal intro, sounds like a great vert, and nice Q SUV for the wife.

As far as the rear camber kit, you can use the two bolt setup instead of the rear camber arm in case you haven't seen this post. Should work fine unless you have to correct camber more than 2 degrees.

Look forward to pics of both Infinitis and glad you're finally to a place where you can move forward
Can't wait to see those 305s out back, going to look sweet!

Thanks blnewt...yeah I have the 2 bolts on hand as well (hoping that works) and will try them first. I've been working with a PE on the custom rear cambers and have full access to a fabrication/machining facility so....might just make them for $h!ts & giggles. Below (if the link works) is the day we brought them home. More pics are in my album of all the changes thus far. Thanks again...looking forward to getting this build done before ZDays next year!!!!

Wow, nice pair!
That would be a nice project if you have all the tooling, especially if you plan on dropping pretty deep on those coils.
Definitely looking forward to more details. Might consider putting a build thread together, always nice to have more verts in the mix

Welcome and nice car. Not to hijack or plug, but I have some KW V3s I'm selling (way better than BC coilovers), SPC front and rear camber kits.

Thanks but the the KW's aren't compatible with the "Vert". BC and I think one other type of CO are the only ones that work (Cereal2k might have the other brand....can't remember). As for the SPC's....I already have a set for the rear (which will need to be modified depending on my drop). PM me a price & pic of the front SPC's (if they're for a coupe).
