Where do I start??

Just bought a 2011 g37x Coupe with 22k miles on it! What should I do first? Exhaust? Headers?or cold air intake. I want to get it around 400hp. Don't know too much about car parts.I just know what's a good car and what's ****.
And this is my first post! So don't know if this is the right thread or not!

Sounds like you don't really understand the power ratings for cars in general.

The engine is rated 328hp.

That's not how much power makes it to the wheels. It's more like 260hp to the wheels.

There's no way you're going to go from 260hp to 400hp with just exhaust and intake.

300hp to the wheels is a much more realistic goal.

400hp to the wheels you'll need a supercharger or turbo.

Z1 Motorsports claims to have a 400HP package. It replaces some stock manifold, gaskets, headers, and cats (with test pipes, no passing emissions). Though they also state that you will need CAI (Stillen Gen3, is what they state, but any cai should work) and a tune, which is not included.

This is also 400HP at the crank, not the wheels, which is ~340HP.
VQ37VHR 400HP Package

As far as what I have seen, this is the highest rating through bolt-ons without using forced induction and/or heavier engine modifications.

In the Newbie Corner, that's for sure

Please do some research on this forum, saying there's a ton of threads on this topic is really an understatement.

Agreed. Likely they wanted to go from 328 to 400 with bolt ons.

Unless you use FI I'm not so sure. I think CAI may give 10-15 gains. I can't see a catback giving 50 more.

That's nice to know but I don't believe that.

I've seen several dynos of other g37 with full bolt ons (complete exhaust), intake (cai & manifold) with a tune making 290-310whp.

I do not see a g37 making 340whp with only a intake manifold, headers & cat deletes..

These cars make maybe 250-270whp stock.

Z1 claims you will pick up 70-90whp with ONLY a intake manifold, headers & cat-deletes is a huge false claim.

Makes me want to avoid buying their products because those gains are so over exaggerated but I hear their high flow cats are good because they aren't loud..

I have a problem with how they have it titled, but that's why you read descriptions:
In conjunction with a Stillen Gen 3 Intake and a quality high flowing exhaust system the Z1 VQ37VHR 400HP Package can produce 340+ rear wheel horsepower on a DynoJet on 93 octane fuel when properly tuned with Uprev Engine Management. We have not included the intake, exhaust, or engine management systems in this package because many people have already purchased these items. We recommend installation and tuning through Z1 Motorsports.
So they don't claim that it will do it just with those parts, but that because most people who want those parts have already done intake and exhaust.

Jotech claims 320 at the wheels with intake, headers, hfc, exhaust, and uprev tune.

G37 Packages | Jotech Motorsports

I guess you can get more out of it with intake manifold, test pipes, pulleys, etc...

it all depends on how much money you have go into your mods.Go with a CAI (cold air intake)first then a exhaust system then header.Cold air intake is the least expensive of the three.

around 400 whp???

CAI
CBE(cat back exhaust)
header
test pipes or HFC(high flow catalytic converter)
ported and polished intake plenum
light weight pulleys
camshafts
ported and polished cylinder head with 3 angle valve job
high comp pistons
oversize pistons
