New to G37...coming from G35

What's up?? I'm John from Houston, Tx. I just bought an OB '08 G37 with 48k miles, the miles and price was reason I got it honestly. I owned an '04 G35, I actually totaled unfortunately. I actually remember Black Betty from G35driver, he hooked me up with a grounding Kit free as a tester like 4 maybe 5 yrs ago on my G35 coupe don't think he'll remember...lol.

That's my ride, only thing I was not fond of was the pinstripe it has along side and the headlights look to have some wear. I tried cleaning and buffing the headlights but after a week it's noticeable again, anything you guys recommend??

Also can't wait to mod already looking into GT-R button, intake and maybe changing all lights to LED's.

Welcome to the site John, congrats on the new G and sorry to hear about the 35
How many miles on your old G?
As far as headlights, here's a good on site DIY and using blue magic to keep them from re-hazing should help.

Enjoy the site and your new ride

Welcome John. Of course I remember you - I came to your house and installed the wires on your car like 6 years ago. East side, right? You were the very first G35 to have the wires on your car.

Congrats on the upgraded ride and welcome to the forum.

Thanks everyone.

Black Betty your correct sir. It was my uncles house but I'm still on the east side. At that time I had barely moved to houston from Cali, hence the name. I can't believe it has been 6 years I was thinking 4 maybe 5...lol.

Redfire - yeah it is a sweet ride. When my girl asked me what car I was going to buy next I said another G, she just said not again...lol.

Blnewt - I bought the car with 55k and last time I checked it was at 156k, never gave me big problems, I did replace the power steering rack at about 125k but I got a used part and local mechanic was about 400 for everything, the dealer wanted over 1k.

Congrats on the ride, OP. For the headlights I personally use 3M Headlight restoration kit sold at Advanced Auto. I've tried a ton of stuff on both my truck and cars. Its a real PITA to do but the effort is well worth it. It takes a ton of elbow grease but the results make the headlights look new out of a box. I used the kit first and then some hard wax each time I wash the car. My lights have never yellowed since.

welcome to the better side of the G community! LOL nice upgrade. For me i am going to wait it out for my upgrade. I am hoping infiniti will change up the interior of the Q b/c i don't like it. I love the G style so much better. You have any plans for the G37?

Thanks again everyone.

Blue - I do have plans as the budget allows, already contacted some vendors on prices. Slowly but surely. My G35 was not really modded.
