New to me 09 G37
Hello, newbie here from the LA area in CA. Got it this past Sunday. Car has 50k miles on it and by the look of the carfax report it was being serviced every 3-4k miles for its oil changes and maintenance intervals. I've been reading up here for the 7at issues when shifting and to my luck it started doing this yesterday. At first I was like wtf Is that ?!?! lol so I was wondering if there was any way to know if my car had the TSB that fixes this issue taken care of before n it came back or it hasn't and that's why it's acting like that . I called infiniti and to my surprise the car had the extended warranty up to 100k or August of next year. I scheduled an appt tomorrow . Is the tsb covered under the extended warranty or am I gonna pay a deductible? Sorry if I'm adding too much info to this newbie thread. Moderators please feel free to move my thread to the proper section if needed. Any info will be appreciated

Congrats on your new G, any plans down the road?
As far as the TSBs, they should be covered w/ your extended warranty as long as it's an Infiniti warranty and not issued by a third party. Your dealer should be able to tell w/ the VIN# if the TSB has been applied, there's been 2 or 3 7AT TSBs that have come out so you may not have the latest one even though an earlier one may have been applied.
Enjoy your new ride!
Welcome to the site and this would be an appropriate place for this post

Well my visit to Infiniti in Glendale went great, sorta. They checked my car for the issues under warranty and the checked the codes my car was throwing. They said something about intake timing or something. I'll post more info as to the other codes it gave when scanned. They said my transmission is working perfectly . I got the car back without the weird shifting pattern but the tech said if my CEL came back on that to give him a call and he would take a further look at it. So like almost an hour after leaving and testing out my car the issue came back. So I went back to the tech and he told me that they were gonna have to replace the timing chain case or something like that. That it was a big job and it would take about a week to complete due to the top portion of the engine being removed to gain access to the rear. Good news is that he was gonna cover it under factory warranty. I asked him if the car had the transmission TSBs applied and he said that the previous owner had it done on November last year . So my car is getting repaired, hopefully that fixes the issue. I have a list of the trouble codes that the car was showing but I'll post it up once I get my car back since I left the paperwork in the car. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Nice to hear everything's covered, hopefully it'll be fine upon return, tough to be without your new car right from the start. I assume they provided you with a loaner (hopefully).
Good luck & keep us posted.

yea it is tough when I just got it this weekend but on the bright side it is being taken care of. Unfortunately no, they couldn't provide me with a loaner for they said they'd been so busy and had no loaner vehicles to give me. The tech said he will notify me if they get a loaner returned so that I can get it while my car is getting repaired. Overall , I'm very impressed how infiniti is treating me from the start. Very welcoming and they show concern. I can say I'm proud to be part of the Infiniti family

I guess u can say I'm paranoid lol I don't wanna drive it hard because I fear it's gonna do it again lol attached is the pic of the work order and parts that were replaced
