Warranty voiding

Anyone have any first hand knowledge of what a dealership would consider voiding your warranty? I would assume anything that touches the ECU would be obvious.

What about normal(basic) bolt-on mods? Intake/Exhaust/Grounding kits/Sways/etc etc. There's a lot of want to do/ AM going to do to my car. I just want to get an idea of if/what I would need to put back to stock before I take it into a dealership for any kind of warranty work that might come up. 2013 g37s (8k miles)

This is a great forum for information, and even purchases. Thanks everyone!

That will not fold your warranty. I have a SC on my car and warranty is still good. The question is how can you prove that the bolt ons did not cause the damage. But before the SC i had a lot of bolt ons and had warranty work done to the car no problem.

I would be more worried about it passing smog in Cali than a warranty being voided. Most dealerships are mod friendly but remember anything you change out, if it affects another part it could void the warranty on that part. IE you change suspension parts it could void the warranty on most of you suspension if they think the changes you made could have affected the other parts. For the most part you will be OK but anytime you mod your car you have to under stand there is risk. If you are worried the best bet is to leave your car stock...............
