Good evening everyone
Good evening everyone
Greetings there. My name is Kyle and of course as you all can see I am new here. So here is my story.. Once upon a time this young gentleman named Kyle had a cobalt ss/sc he put time and effort into this car over the years, from buying the car completely stock he began modding it. Upgrading things slowly here and there it all started coming together nicely.. running a 2.8in pulley with 60# injectors, tuned with HP tuners running E85, and a stage 3 heat exchanger. AEM intake with a throttle bottle spacer with devils own meth set up, a ZZP 3in catless downpipe into a 2 1/2 catback exhaust, lowered on eibach sportlines sitting on msr 045s. inside the cockpit of this was bride low max seats, powell harness bar, with 4-point harnesses. Boost gauge, AEM wideband, aero force interceptor in a 3 gauge pillar. It was a nice little go kart of a car. Then one night as Kyle was just
along this big bad deer whom wasn't a chevy type of fellow decided to run out at the last second, and Kyle was just like "oh sh*t
" grab the steering wheel and BOOOOOOM hit the deer then went off road afterwards making the passenger airbag to deploy ripping the front bumper off damaging the radiators and heat exchangers... and this is taking to long so fast forward some and thats when on 9/20/2013 I went and bought my 2010 G37x sedan with 36,xxx miles on it completely stock no tint nothing. So far now the windows are tinted 35 front 20 the back, all my lights i'm changing out to LEDs already ordered them, just waiting for them to come in now. My goal for her is to stay classy and luxury rims, springs( maybe coilovers) something nice and simple. So that was my story, i'm familiar with the forum aspect as I was a member on cobaltss.net for years now. Well glad to be here everyone. Oh here is some pictures

Welcome to the site Kyle, too bad about the wreck but as long as you're OK.
Doesn't sound like you're afraid to take the mod plunge as your Cobalt sounds like it was pretty tricked-out, BTW did you ever get dyno numbers for it?
You'll have fun modding the G, and IMO coilovers are the way to go, I had springs first but wish I just went straight to the coils, much better ride and getting the exact height you want really makes a difference. Just be sure to get the camber/toe kits at the same time as the coils. The coilover selection is pretty limited for the X but there's a new coil on the market called AMR and might be worth a look. Here's a thread on it and hopefully some reviews will start showing up.

Have fun and congrats on your new G

The cobalt I manage to get 324hp out of it with that being in a aggressive tune. The website ZZP had a cobalt except 05 and switching to turbo instead of the supercharger and do I ng a lotttt of stuff manage to get 898whp 54lbs of boost ran low 9s in the quarter. Yeah I loved the car but I've always been a fan of the g35 and well when they didnt have that I got this. Which I'm very happyyyy lol, yeah coils are probably how I will go. Just gotta see what I can and cannot do since I still have a factory warranty. but the modding will come for sure!! Especially since I have much more I can do with the G then the SS
