Newbie here. Future G37 Owner!

Whats up yall,

1st post on the forum. A little background on myself.. I'm not officially a G37 owner but will be soon. I've never owned a descent V6 or V8 (fast car) by any means. I felt it was time to buy something sporty with some get up and go!

I've owned these cars :/ 92 nissan sentra, 90 nissan pickup, 2001 Olds Alero, 95 Saturn, 98 Maxima (my favorite!) 2007 Accord and currently I drive an 06 4Runner. Yes, mostly sedans which I prefer.

I started off wanting a Pontiac G8, then a charger. I changed my mind and decided on two= 07 Lexus gs350 and 2008 M35. The Lexus body I wasn't crazy about or the price. The M?? I absolutely love the exterior body but 275hp on top of poor gas mileage swayed me to look into the G37. I was happy to find out I could get better MPG and over 50+ HP with a 09 G37 sedan. Now, the only thing I don't like about the 09 G37 is the small and subtle spoiler. I think it may grow on me, but its not a showstopper at this point. I think overall I would be very pleased with the G.

OK, with that being said, I want to have the performance tire and wheel package (18 in. wheels right?) because IMO I'm sacrificing a little bit of exterior looks vs the 08 M35. Don't get me wrong, I think the G37's body is sexy and sporty. I just know the things that I must have before I jump into this car.

18 inch Wheels
Bose system
Rosewood interior, don't like the alluminum (unless it has a black interior)

I think the premium package is what I;m looking for.

Well, that was probably too much info for some, but nonetheless, I would like to hear feedback from some more experienced G owners!

Welcome to the site!
The 07-09 18" split spoke rims are the best looking OEM sedan rims IMO, otherwise I'd just get aftermarket 19" wheels if you don't plan on lowering it, otherwise I think 20" rims look great on lowered Gs.
Let's see what you end up with and we'll take it from there

No, I don't plan on lowering it although if a slight drop would make it look better ill have to look into it. I just don't like lowered cars personally.

I would like to buy the G with at least some 18's rather than buying the car and then buying aftermarket rims.

Thanks for the input blnewt

Hey Blnewt,

I've been searching this forum and the net and I can't seem to find an example of 07-09 18in split spoke rims you were referring to. Still confused, 7 spoke WTF?! I attached a pic of what looks like them, but i'm still not sure!?

The pic you posted is the stock 17" wheels.
Here's a pic of my first G, an 07 w/ the 18" wheel upgrade
