As for the stereo, I run the treble and bass totally flat, driver stage on. Flat tone controls allows you to crank it up higher with less distortion. Our system is designed to sound "correct" in this setting.
Just an update, but the tires were the cause of the scary and unpredictable handling. The Michelin's are like driving a totally new car. So far I racked up 7500 miles on this car, much much better. I was so close to giving up on this car. I'm not trying to be sarcastic, but I've really driven minivan's with better handling than those original tires. I would argue that they are not safe at all, the tram-lining nearly caused so many accidents and the bounciness is really hard to recover when going over 70mph.

After watching Knight Rider (return of KARR), I had an itching to get something flashy for the car. So I purchased the iJDMToy LED strip lights that turn from white to amber for the turn signals. Wanted to get the multicoloured light strip, but figured I would be pulled over the second I turned it on

For the stereo, I wasn't going crazy... turned out there was a wiring issue and if I put the fader all the way to the back speakers it was like listening to an AM radio with pillows covering it. Probably a grounding issue or just wasn't properly wired, but I'm taking it in this week to get that fixed. Just setting to fader to the front makes a world of difference.

Navigation and tech still irritates me. Have had a really weird problem where sometimes after ending a call on my bluetooth phone and the stereo music comes back, the system still thinks I'm the phone. When I try to change the volume with the **** or steering wheel, its changing the phone volume and not the music (despite the call being ended and the music from the radio is back playing). As for my route home, despite taking that route for the 120th time, it still refuses to direct me properly (so the theory that it "learns" my route is total garbage) and wants me to head back on the highway in the opposite direction. I've been tempted to do it just to see where the hell its sending me... guessing from all my complaining, my Infiniti is probably trying to drive me into the bay.

I spent an entire day at the dealer test driving cars. This was early august 2012 Drove a 2012 journey, 2012 G37s and a 2012 IPL. I went home with the IPL. The IPL felt like a completely different car. The engine responded much, much better! Felt like it had a lot more power and not as restricted. This has to do with the true dual exhaust, better factory tune and upgraded tires. My dealer had one with the Michelin pilot super sports... Huge difference!

Coming from a Nismo 350z... I don't have any regrets. The audio system, drive computer, nav and hard drive is a huge upgrade for me. After owning two 350z's, the G37 IPL is a much better daily car.

OP sounds like you'd be much happier in a Jaguar... Just saying

Check the Dealers Sheet again ...
The Dealer added a lot including the Sport Package including the Wheels and Suspension.
I don't know if the car was lowered as a result.

Bouncy can be over-inflation or the tires themselves.
Which ones did they install on your car?

I have both a 370Z and now (very recently) a G37x Coupe as well...
They are two different animals to be sure.
The G37 is a nice ride, but is begging for mods - and they will come :-)

Same boat . A lot of noise coming from under the car. Sounds like a diesel car. Shame Shame Shame!

I had a 2000 I30, 2006 g35 coupe, 2008 g35x, 2010g37xS sedan and just recently got into a 2013 g37xS coupe, all being brand new except the i30.

Although I did enjoy my g35 coupe I feel completely different them you do. I think the upgrades between my coupe now I'm power, interior, exterior, handling, nav, are all absolutely much better then that of a g35 coupe.

There's only 1 complaint I have that absolutely drives me crazy though. Why is it that these cars come with a back up camera paired with rear back up sensors and NO sensors for the front??? Otherwise g37>g35 in every way.
