Strangely enough my coworker who has the G37S also had her tires swapped out and the difference is night and day. Those 19" summertime tires really destroy this car's handling.

As for the radio issue, it was all about turning OFF the drivers audio stage (DSP filter is just bad -- most likely this was affecting the stereo seperation), turning UP the speed-sensitive audio feature, keeping the bass and treble to 1 or 2 above the middle mark at a maximum. Anything higher causes very weird issues.
You should update your original post so others will realize your original rant was completely inaccurate and not a good indication of the G's capabilities.....

I'm late to this discussion but I can attest to the tramlining in the Bay area. I have a G37S coupe and drive East bay 880 North/South daily. It's a white knuckle ride at 70-80 miles an hour with inches between you and the concrete construction divider on the left! The gouges in the road from the construction will make you feel like the car is sliding on rails, pulling you ominously close to other drivers or the wall if you're not paying attention. I attributed this to the tires as mine are soon to be replaced, still on the original Bridgestones. The suspension is very stiff and you will tend to "hop" over the bumps or reflectors in the road when changing lanes. Those are the 2 things I initially noticed about the handling vs my previous car, Acura 3.2 CL-S.

Did they recently switch tires because I just purchased a new G37XS Coupe and it came with Yokohama's?

I think my S sedan, even with 60k handles incredibly well... and i hqd it lowered for probably 6k. I don't really notice a difference TBH. I like the stock suspension. Good balance of comfort and handeling ESPECIALLY after adding those Michelin Super Sports. Those tires are incredible!

I test drove everything under the sun all the upto a 2007 BMW M5 and I think the 2013 G37 S sedan 6MT handles and rides great and we have plenty of curves here in Nashville. At first I thought the Bose stereo was bogus because the Bose I had in my Altima was definitely cleaner and louder. After a week it's sounding better so it may need a break-in period.

That price seems a little high right? I got my IPL brand new for less than that.

FYI, just got a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports and tramlining gone, no "hopping" over reflectors or cracks in the road. Definitely the stock tires have a lot to do with the OP's complaints, as they mentioned. I am just seconding the observation.

Those are also the tires that fixed my issues with the handling. I'm on the same road as you are (880 North) and the tramlining was insane after those two overpasses around I-92. The turning was also horrendously scary after that one dip past the Oracle Arena where you have to make a sharp left. That's where I was experiencing the overturning issue.

For the other person who said my 03 G35 had a backup camera -- no. I never had that. I don't even think they offered that technology back then without a mod. That and the sonar are the few features which are really great in the G37 compared to the G35.

Hate to say it, but after seeing a lot of new 2013 cars coming out, Infiniti is fairly weak when it comes to the innovation of the dashboard/driver features. I'd overlook the bad layout of the whole menu system if the stereo system sounded amazing, but both are just substandard to what I expected. The stereo still sounds pathetic unless its blasting past 45% for some reason. I'm going to try replacing the tweeters mentioned in another thread to fix this sound issue.

It basically comes down to the fact that I have to fix so many blantant problems just to get this car to sound and perform well. Perhaps my overexpectations are just too high, but I'd assume with a brand of Infiniti it would be up there competing with Lexus and Acura, instead I find myself getting jealous of simple features in a Honda Accord.

I new to the G world too. I looked at your sticker and I dont see the sport break package on there. Post a pic of your brakes if you would.
I have a 2012 G37S Journey Sport Coupe. My sticker even has a "S" on it yet with sport suspension. Upgrade exhaust etc yet Bose on the sticker too.
I'm not sure how many sport packages Infiniti has but from what I was told Sports come with 19's not 18's thats on your Sticker...if I could only learn how to post pics here I'd shoot you my sticker only to compair...mine is tight on corners and push the H##L out of it too! I went Tein on itand its like riding on rails! Love it no top heavyness and the Bose is great...
not to nip pick but post a pic of the brakes and your ride...if you can tell me how I'd show mine as well its different look than most but damn love this car! Coming from a A6 geeze talk about night and day! Happy Moding!

All G37 6MTs are SPORT Coupes. The SPORT Package is standard

A G37 7AT is a Journey.
With the optional SPORT Package, it becomes a SPORT Coupe.

The OP has a SPORT PACKAGE option on the right side of the sticker.
