Evo to G37 ;)

Hey guys! So i've been in the Infiniti community for a long time. I was an Infiniti tech for 5 years and now I'm assistant service manager. I had an 04 FX35 2 years ago. After that got totalled, I had a 500hp Evo 8. I just got a 2012 G37S coupe prem, nav. I've driven and worked on them for a living and love them. Great cars!

Nice! Congrats! I see you got the blacked out grill already. Any plans for mods? Check out GTM, if you plan to do speed. Good stuff there

Thanks for the compliments guys. I wasn't planning on selling my evo. It was the right price at the right time. I'm looking to build another evo in the near future. A full race car this time.

Congrats, on the purchase. You would probably have to kill me to get rid of my evo if I had one. Rode in a 600hp e85 2011 STI the other day and MY GOD that thing ran so fast.

I was inches away from trading in my G for it.

There's nothing like a high-horsepower AWD turbo car, that's for sure...G's are just really nice cars...

Not going to lie but i hear so many good things about evo and there power and makes me want one. Since you have experience w/ both worlds, what made you choose the G

My situation was different from the OP's, for me the Evo game was getting just way too expensive ... I was tracking heavily with the Evo (About 1-2 times per month for about a year straight) because it had become an addiction at some point ... So i was spending about $1500 every 2 track sessions with tires, oil, fluids, brake pads, track fee's, etc. etc. Then i went through 2 blown engines, 3 clutch changes and an engine bay fire resulting from a shattered downpipe that occurred during a full throttle straight-away pull at a track event (yeah i still dont know how that one happened loll), so there just came a point where I wanted a car that was going to keep me out of financial trouble and keep me away from the track. Especially with law school that i just started, i needed to manage my finances much better and get into a much more mature and classy car that was more cop friendly as well ... The G was much classier, much more luxurious, and a much more mature car at a cheaper lease rate than the Evo so i traded it in at the local Infiniti and picked up the G a week before law school began. Good decision for me i believe

Evo's are my favorite cars hands down. I love everything about them. I used to drag the car and had a blast with it. 30psi on race gas on that car is just not comparable to anything else. Being a certified Infiniti tech for years, i've worked on virtually every Infiniti made. When the 2012 came out I was very attracted to the new body style. Now, being assistant service manager, I thought it would be better to drive and own the product.
