Looking at g37's need some help!!!
Hey G-spotters .I am hoping to join your ranks soon I am looking into a g37x sedan and I need some advice . I live in colorado so I was thinking I should get the AWD for the snow ,However I have read that owners are not happy with the 7spd tranny and I have only owned manual transmission cars berfore this (love them) ,Is the 2wd good in the snow ? is it as fast 0-60 (this is mY ego here) .Is the sport option worth it when you buy the AWD X. Thanks for the info guys ,Patrick
FWIW, I don't even like to drive my RWD in the rain down here. You guys up in Colorado wouldn't have this exact issue, but when it rains down this way, since it rains so infrequently, the oil that's built up in the roads floats to the top and makes the roads slicker than a greased pig's ***. What's worse than that? Snow.
^True. And most people in SoCal don't understand when it rains you can NOT drive at 80 mph with a one-car-length gap and be safe.
As much as we all hate to... you have to slow the freak down.

Yep. I know better and I still managed to spin my G on a freeway onramp. I was doing about 20, with VDC on, of course. Couldn't correct for the slide at all, just kept on going sideways. So based on just oily/wet road performance, I would say I wouldn't try driving a RWD G in snowy conditions.
i love my x sedan and i think the 7at is great. the X is 250lbs heavier but you wouldnt be able to tell it is .2 seconds slower to 60 and it makes up for it in the rain and snow. read all the griping threads about the 7at and test drive an x to make your decision.
