Newb Intro and my new ride!
Hi everyone! Picked up my new 2010 S 6MT yesterday. I actually bought it a week ago but left it at the dealership to get it tinted and sprayed the int/ext with some protective coating (I forget the name).
I've been lurking on here for about a week now and love this place. The knowledge and information here is amazing and the members are very helpful. Already, I have been schooled on what tire sizes go with what offsets and what aggressive/conservative means
. I'm definitely looking forward to learning more.
As for the car....I love it! The day I bought this car (April 1), I was actually on the way to a Nissan dealership to try and get a 10' 370Z touring convertible with sport package and Nav as Plan A. I had a Plan B and C as well with Plan C being the G37 Sedan 6MT since it was going to be in the price range of A. So on the way to the dealership, I stopped by Infiniti first as it was first along the route and I have not checked out and was not familiar with the G Sedan. So I'm checking out the G Sedan 6MT and the sales guy asked me why I was looking at the sedan if I wanted a sports car. And I plainly said that a G Coupe 6MT was a few thousand dollars out of my price range.
So he starts telling me about this brand new 2010 Coupe S 6MT with only 40 miles and how he could get me a real good deal on it cuz they needed to get rid of old stock. And I'm thinking to myself...yeah right...whatever! So I see that car and I was like "DAYUMM, that is a beautiful car!" But I knew inside that I was never gonna get this car cuz I knew that it was going to be out of my price range. So I thanked the sales guy for showing me the cars and told him that my only intention was to check out the G sedan and was on my way to try and get the Z.
But that dude was determined and insisted that I hear him out to see what the numbers would be. BTW, the wife wasn't with me, so when I told him that the wife would have to see it first and buy off on it, he was like....here, take the keys and show it to your wife. have fun with it and come back when you're ready....I was like "DAYUMM, REALLY?"
So I took it and showed it to the wife. BTW, reason for the Z convertible is because that was our compromise for my sports car and her convertible. She's always wanted one. Anyway, though it wasn't a convertible she looked at it and I knew right away she like it.
Now back at the dealership, we start talking numbers again and after a few counter offers, I got my beautiful G for $41K!! Even after the tint and that protective coating that added up another $2k, and taxes, I was still a couple thousand less than MSRP! Didn't think I would ever see a deal like that again on a G Coupe S 6MT so I pulled the trigger.

!! Just wanted to let you all know how I got into this G. Was it by accident? Fate? I don't know but this G of mine and me were meant to be together

Dealer here was giving a 2010 LP sport with aero to my brother for $37K. He didn't really like the aero kit and LP color. Awesome deal IMO....But he was set on a 2011 sport though so he has one on order right now. .
