Thanks, it is a neat color. Only thing I kind of don't like is that it's a bit flat looking if the sky is overcast. But under city street lights at night or on a sunny day it looks really good, has some slight mauve undertones along with the slate blue.

In 2012 (or when I trade in next if not then) It will be on a list of colors if it still exists then. I'd also consider Athens Blue (had a 2003 Acura that's almost exactly Infiniti's athens blue) or one of the darker grey colors, possibly black also. Well, couple years away, almost three since I'd do it around december again like I did with that car.

Blue slate, graphite interior as an aside.
That is a rich looking colour. Looks much better than the colour sample in the brochure.

and after 3 months of waiting my car has finally come from Japan!

Only problem now is the japanese menus haha sooo many submenus of confusion! haha

I now question how much i will use the gold car, i'm guessing it will probably be used for trackdays and sprints from now on.

G'day mate!
Good to see another Skyline on board!
Did you get an auto or manual?

If not a secret, how much did you pay for it?
Let me know if you have any questions about japanese menus, i might be able to help.

About cruise control, no we don't have it even as option on SP, only on type P (I think it's Journey in the US).

The card slot is ETC, Japan toll road payment system.

Where in Australia are you? Spent a few weeks there last year and loved it, can't wait to go back!

As far I know: P (stands for premium) is Journey (leather trim, power seats, etc)
S is sport, no leather trim, but sports suspension, LSD, etc.
SP is combination of the two.
However, cruise control is available as option on P only.

^^ yeah what he said...

there is 4 different models

Skyline V36 (base model cloth trim)
Skyline V36 S (sports - 4WS sports suspension, cloth, manual option, sports front bar)
Skyline V36 P (premium - leather interior, bose, only auto)
Skyline V36 SP (sports premium - leather, suspension, bose, manual option, sports front bar)

, and i *think* they are releasing the 4WD this year?

Hey Loz, I'm Jake from Syd, 2008 V36Sp man if you posted on the SkylinesAussie website as much as here we could help each other with all the stuff that we have found for our Skylines. I have had mine now for nearly 2 years, I think I was the 4th person to have one in Aus. I am currently in the mix of trying to change all my bits to USDM parts as well. So far I have all the badges the kick panels, and I also have the whole TV,CD,Screen, Nav, Brain, Buttons, setup which I bought off a guy in Canada, Even came with the little clock that says Infiniti on it. I am hoping ones I find someone to put it all in for me that it at leasts sorts out the english screen, I will deal with the Nav when I get it all fitted. Any info we can swap would be sweet. Hope to here from you on here or SKYAus soon. I am looking for the airbag now so that I can get that Nissan badge off it. So anyone else out there that can get or will ship the part to Aus let me know.
