This isn't that uncomon................

I had to have my rotors resurfaced on my last 300ZX
because the wheel would shimmy when the breaks
were applied. I feel my problem was caused by
over torking my custom wheels. It surely wasn't due
to not driving the car or what ever you might think.
Oh yea, my brakes lasted 117K miles.

The dealer listed what they did for that $80 which included: lubricate door hinges, top off fluid and tire pressure check. So for you guys out there approaching first 7500miles, you probably should escape that and save yourself that money for something else.
They had also resurfaced the front rotors and now the vibrations were gone, but I also lost the "grabby" feeling about the break. The break feels not as instantaneous as before, and it requires more paddle travel to have the same stopping power I had before. It stops fine, but I kind of missing that more "sporty" (I don't have a better description for this) feeling about the break before. So is this normal? Or there is some adjustment on the car can alter this feel?
I can't beleive they charged ou that much for nothing more than a regular oil change. Actually I can, I do it every day.
Your brake feel should return in a few days.

Just to update the break situation on my 04' coupe. After the last break resurfacing at 7500 mile service, the problem persisted, and I brought my car in again today to Jim Coleman, and the tech found the front rotors were out spec and could not be surfaced again. So both front rotors and pads were replaced under warranty. My car has less than 7800miles now. The service advisor (Mr. Lee) was very nice and I have nothing but good praises for him.
