Think I lost my mod bug, Time to buy a Bike :D

I'm starting to lose interest in modding the coupe, I think it looks good the way it is now, I might just add the exhaust and top it off. I was looking into bikes lately, but I have no idea what I have to do to drive one. I heard there was a bike school to attend so I can get a liscence. Anyone know anything about this process?
I was looking at getting a GSX-R 600, or a kawasaki Ninja, maybe even a R6. I dont think I can handle the 1000+ cc super bikes from the start :P

Go to PG community college for lessons. They are really good and also you take your motorcycle license test there.

My brother took the class offered by DMV - very good preparation and gets you the license, but apparently there's a wait list - especially in the spring...
Also, according to him and other motorcylists I've known, get a cheap starter bike, because you will lay it down. Upgrade once you've mastered it.

If you've never riden before I'd recommend gettin a used 400cc 600cc at most to practice. You can get an old something that runs well for pretty cheap (~$2,000). Last thing you want to do is mess up a brand new bike, which will happen if you have to much power. Nothing like having to lay down a your new toy.

And I'd also opt for the class. If you learn from a friend they may teach you all kinds of bad habits . Good luck getting a slot this far in the spring though.

600cc is plenty fast, R6 is my favorite followed by CBR 600RR. Not a fan of GSXRs. eitherway, you better worry about all the lawyer fee and fines and insurance hike before you seriously consider getting a bike.

Get a Hayabusa!!!

LOL, Just joking man. ***DO NOT EVEN SIT ON ONE!!!***
That bike is SICK! Imagine ~160 HP applied to ~475 pounds + whatever you weigh! It's just ridiculous, man.

If you DO decide to get one, I have dibs on your Volks!

I was seriously considering a bike last year. Until well, I just knew I'd get into a bad accident with one. Is it really worth it? Prob. not. Better safe than sorry.

I agree w/ Pratik...some of you guys cant even stay on the road on four wheels and not get into an accident....why increase your chances by getting on two wheels IMO
