PAC-AAI-NIS2 (for Audio) What's for Video input?
Talking to some of you guys during happy hour last week. I understand that the PAC-AAI-NIS2 unit is used for the Audio. But what is used for the video. I plan on getting a small DVD player to fit in the glove box. FYI 2005 with Navi.
Also if I get the NavtoDVD AV unit, will I still need the PAC-AAI-NIS2 for the SAT?

bruce...i have the pac aai nis...the 2 i believe is the updated/newer version/revision. the pac audio allows you to play aux. inputs through your factory speakers. for ex.
i have my ipod wired to one end of the pac unit. the other end is setup to my dvd player...so the video is hooked up to my xenarc screen...the audio (red/white) cables are hooked up to the other (2nd set) of ends on the pac unit. The pac unit has ability to play audio from 2 sources!! In my case one source is my ipod....the other source would be audio from my dvd player!! If you referring to running this on your nav i believe the nav2dvd converter should have an input for video and the audio would again be connected to the pac unit. I am not 100% but i dont think you'll need the pac unit UNLESS you use an external DVD player. I was under the assumption the nav2dvd or watever it is, enables you to play dvd's using ur stock NAVI dvd-rom drive. so since ur NAVI is already wired to sound/speak through your factory speakers I dont think you'd need the Pac audio device. But again im not 100%....maybe 75%....

Ok so I will need to get the nav2dvd converter and the pac unit? Because the stock DVD ROM don't play regular dvds. So I will need a external DVD player.
Nav2DVD - displays the Video to stock Nav.
Pac Unit - for audio.

bruce dont think you'll need pac unit if you get nav2dvd converter...only need pac IF your using an external DVD player. from what i understand teh nav2dvd converter enables your normal off the shelf dvd movies to be displayed on the stock navi screen and provides the appropritae connectors....but again i could be wrong....

Dominic said that I would been and PAC unit or a FM Modulator for sound. So I think I'll go with a PAC unit for better sound quality. Where can I get one for a good price?
