Bad News.....verry Bad News...

OK so I call IOC like 5 min ago for an oil change. Looks like Ryan Meyers no longer works at IOC....so now my predicament. Ryan and myself had a good understanding of the customer/service tech relation. i am very hesitant to have to kick off this type of thing with a new technician. in addition he knows NEVER to wash my car....however other reps (even after asking 10x for no wash) still wash it....

I will try IOC out again for the synthetic oil change for $40 today.....however I know now for any future warranty work we may be in for some tough times at IOC.......

They have my car as we speak. I have started talking to the newer guy and Gary always recognizes me when I go so we will see. I think they may have done a poor job of balancing my wheels last time and used some adhesive to keep the weights on and they came off.

Anyhoo, they are doing an oil change too.

man...the turnover is already starting to happen.... thats the same thing I hated about ROSENTHAL...everytime I would come in for service it'd be a new person and they would always wash the car. Becareful...the polished lip shouldn't be washed with anything except water and if they spray anything...man thats gonna suck.

Also when I went to get my hub bearing replaced I had a guy named vince as the service consultant. After looking through the large bill I asked Gary where my NGC discount was and he told Vince to come show us. "Vince" kept saying its in there...but I nor anyone else could see it as a line item. Gary asked Vince to put it in again and this time he added it. Also they were trying to selling me a new rim for $800...I was like..no just fix the hub bearing.. Anyways "Vince" made a sly remark of yeah...you know when you drive these cars....stuff is expensive. Kinda implying that I"m cheap? Thats my last experience with IOC. So once again....the service advisor can f up your whole experience and make you never want to go back again.

Thats the way to go...I feel that all NGC members with aftermarket wheels should never have their cars washed...even if they request it. It needs to be written in stone somewhere.

Dang, $40 for synth? Just buy the mobile 1 at walmart for $21. I'm sure they're using the same mobile 1 as synth oil. Ryan was my service advisor also. I'm actually on my 3rd advisor at rosenthal, they keep leaving or get fire. I gotto Rosenthal b/c it's much closer for me and I get free oil change for 2 years since I bought the car there. I get parts hook-up through Dave in Parts, so no big reason for me to trek out to OIC unless I need major work done, which I did once.

Tysons Infiniti is no longer Rosenthal, they sold it to Sonic. Sonic is supposed to be a good company. Their Service Manager was my manager years ago, and he should be able to keep the turn-around on employees down to a minimum.
You guys might want to give them a shot again if you are having second thoughts about IOC.

And remember, for non-warranty work, I am always here and cheaper.

Had my fuel hose recall done at Passport, and they did a good job - done on time, no hassles, no scratches.

sorry that made me laugh since I used to drive 65 miles (one way, now 80 miles one way) to go to Passport Infiniti for my service. Sorry to hear you guys are having issues. Having dealer/service issues is such a colossal pain in the left ********. If you guys aren't satisfied there anymore (which sucks b/c the discounts were so good) there's always Passport Infiniti. I've been going there ever since I met Ressler back in the day and I haven't been dissappointed once. Jeff Tanner is my service rep and he always takes care of me (it does help that I bring him and his team a box of donuts everytime). He always gets me a loaner since he knows I'm coming from so friggin' far and the car is always well taken care of.

I don't know about discounts with Passport but I'm sure if enough of us sign up something could possibly be arranged.

vic what year was the fuel line recall for??? if you look under the passenger side compartment you can see the fuel line running the length of the runners...but there's also a loose rubber hose which runs from the wheel wheel (passenger side) and is basically dangling around the back of the passenger headlight housing. I noticed this when changing my clearance bulbs and my headlight bulbs on BOTH me and pratiks car...

We'll see how things go. When I first started going to IoC in early July the main POC was Andea, a few months later it was Mike, few later Ryan, haven't met the new guy yet, but I still need to go up there for some stuff in the next week or so.

I've had pretty good experiences with the last few people. We'll see if they're hiring quality.
