I vote for doing something local/small say a BBQ and we invite whoever. It's probably too hard for us to organize a multi club deal. From the look of recent posts, maybe keeping it small and inviting those we know are cool is probably a good idea. I'm still willing to pitch in if we vote to go forward, it's just money and location are both something we really need and we don't have neither.

I dont see why anyone should do it other than the man who started it all...

Sorry to be harsh but I dont like people who take upon themselves to post away organizing something and later drop the bomb on someone else...

Just like i got the 'bomb' dropped on me for the beach meet...i thought i would be nice and take over...but F that...for what??

the same way the original poster/organizer says 'F' it and walks away...I'll do the same.

One of the philosophies I live by (besides the "I only have 2 things in this world...my ***** and my word and I dont break em for nobody")...which I learned in Tae Kwon Do when I was like 12

'Always finish what you start...'

Confucious says....The moral(sp?) of the story is:

If you have an idea, don't rely on others to make it happen. If you want something done right do it yourself. Because the person you rely on will most likely drop the ball and say that it wasn't their idea in the first place so why should they do it?

actually this idea works everywhere...peers...work...

in the 7 years I've been in the work field I've seen quite a few ex. of this. It's basically everyone for themselves. There are no friends, not they way you would perceive a friend ...to help out or lend a hand...

cause at work if you have a project due...and you ask a coworker to help out...they may say sure at first...but then in the end if they didn't help like they said they would and your work is not done. You will be the one suffering. Not your coworker.

im sure there are many other instances but there are too many to remember or dwell on. I basicallly move on and cut my loses. My mentality in the work field is there is no friends... the next person is waiting to step over you to get to the top. Their mentality is why should they help you? What will they get out of it? Maybe if you entice them with gifts or lunch they will help.
