Problems you have had with your car..

I am sick and tired of little thigs that go wrong with this car... don't get me wrong .. i still love the car .. but i was very pissed off today... when my driver side window stopped rolling down ... and then next thing i know .. .that my trunk isn't opening ... from the button inside my car... but it opens from the Key fob ... wtf...

anyways .... i was just wondering what kind of problems everyone has had with their cars.

for me:

1) around 10k miles... the clicking on the rear axle started.. which was fixed by Jim Coleman later.
2) The Paint on the door handle inside the car... started chipping off.. got that replaced by Jim Coleman as well..
3) last month, my CD player .. started acting up .... and i got it replaced.... in December itself ... and not what do u know ... the new one ... doesn't read half of my CD's.. that my old one read while it worked.
4) now this stupid Passenger side window and the trunk won't open..

+1 on those. Had to have my cd player replaced 3 seperate times because the problem kept persisting.
Then I had my speakers act up. Replaced the Headunit for that also.

Had my passenger side window go out. it started acting up like going up and down slow and then sometimes it just wouldnt move at all. When I took it in to have that fixed they said i was lucky it was the passenger side b/c they were on a national backorder for the driverside window motor.

Had the brakes squeal up until i passed 10,000 miles. Now it just does it every once in a while.

Had the fuel fill up issue. Went to the dealer 10 different times (including taking it to jim coleman 2 times) to find out the problem and 5 of the times the just tried to fix the floater in the gas tank, 4 of the times it just didnt do it when they took the car to the gas station, and the last time finally got it fixed with the TSB.

Had the rear axle TSB fixed as well but it never did happen. so oh well preventive maintenince.

other than those things im pretty happy overall with the car

And not a car rant but a dealer rant. I will NEVER EVER take my car back to jim coleman again. bought my car there. the night i bought it they curbed one of my wheels, siad they would repair it but they never did. the last time i took my car there, they gave me one of their complimentary car washes even though i told them not to and when my car came back out there were so many scratches all over the paint that I would swear that the person that washed my car must have used a brillo pad to wash it. and then they had the nerve to try and fix it by giving me 3 free detail passes. After what they did why the hell would i come back to have my car detailed with a brillo pad?!

yea i bought the car in january 04 and had so many problems with even getting the car that im not going to get into it (ordering the car, putting money down, trying to force me to take a different car, them not placing the order for my car, etc.) only took it to coleman for 3-4 months before they screwed it up and then i started taking it to passport. coleman had the worst customer service i have ever seen in my life. i think mcdonalds had better customer service than they did. another example that i witnessed was when i was waiting for my car one day and there was a guy that came in and was complaining about the service performed on his car and he was demanding to see the service manager. well the secretary just yelled into the managers office "so and so there's an upset customer to see you." and the service manager just yelled back "ill be out in a minute" but he just sat in his office for a good 15-20min (not even doding anything remotely that important. he was just on the computer surfing the internet) before he actually came out and by then the upset customer had already stormed out and left. the service manager didnt even bother to look for the guy...he didnt even bother to ask the secretary where the guy went, he just went on about his business as if nothing had ever happened. now that is just absolutely poor customer service.

I dont know how they are now. maybe they are better. are they arjun? even if they are i would still never take my car back there even if it was the last place i had to take my car.

No mechnical stuff yet. But I noticed I have rust along the entire inner edge of my trunk lid, the inner edge facing the rear window. No rock chip, no sitting water that can rust the lid. I believe it was not prep right from the factory. The rust is along the welding edge.

That happened to me recently at my Mercedes dealership in Annapolis. Long story short, the service manager was fired after I filed a complaint on the crap he pulled on me since I know the owner and the General Manager. Being a 15-year customer and having bought a half dozen cars from them also helps.

Bro, i know my service manager really well .... so he hooks me up.. doesnt as me questions.. they have fixed all my problems .. without asking me too many questions ... or haven't denied me of any service... but i went to IOC once just for an oil change ... and they just seemed very friendly ... they are LEGIT ..and actually care about customer service .... so i'm just going to go there since its more convenient for me... i'm sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience with Coleman.... you should try IOC .... or even Infiniti of Annapolis .... if i remember correct .. you live in MD right? ...

yea im in MD but i use passport infiniti now and hey have the best customer service I have ever had. Used to know my service manager really well also but he moved to sales and they also just recently changed over all of the service managers so I got a new one which i havent even met yet (havent had to take my car in yet). The only complaint i have with passport is that they keep changing service managers. this is the second time i have had to get to know a new service manager within the ~2yrs i have been taking them my car. but other than that they are awesome.

Yea i have been wanting to check out IOC and IOA for a while but unfortunately they are just too far for me to drive for service if i ever did want to take my car to either dealership.
