z-tube question ?
Do any of you guys have a z-tube and factory airbox?
Where you able to use both of the rubber connecters that came with it?
I've seen pictures of z-tubes and the two new connectors, but on mine if I don't use the flexible factory one that connects to the airbox it doesn't appear to fit.
The problem with this is that the z-tube doesn't appear to line up straight which will impede flow.
Any suggestions and even pics would be greatly appreciated.

i believe lek has this setup in our region. i also know a dozen+ members with this setup that have no problem. the z tube replaces the stock piece with the resonator. i believe it should line up if you rotate/turn the tube. you shouldnt have any problems unless im misunderstanding ur Q Dhej!!
you will still use the factory connectors both on the TB side as well as the other end which connects to your air box.

Thanks for the pics. It answers some questions, but I have the CF tube and the stock intake.
The CF tube can not connect directly to the intake housing. Since it is curved already, I used the supplied straight rubber connector.
On the end with the airbox is the problem. Since the airbox is static and the intake housing at the other end is static, I the only wiggle room I have is with the tube.
I'll try to post some pics to clear things up.

Here are three pictures of the current setup.
-Overview of the engine compartment
-Rear connection to intake manifold. Notice there is a rubber connector, unlike the regular z-tube. The original u-shaped connector puts the other end way out of line.
-Airbox to z-tube connection. I am holding the supplied connector. You can kinda of tell from the picture, but if I simply replace the stock connector with the suppplied one there is a large gap.
I tried moving things around as much as I could but I don't see how the two supplied connectors and z-tube would ever fit neatly with the stock airbox.

First of all, you should of mention that you have the C/F aftermarket tube. When mentioning the z-tube without any other description, people will automatically assume you have the oem 350z tube. That's what I have and it lines up perfectly using oem connectors. Being that it's aftermarket, fitment is rarely exact. I'd suggest using the oem connector since it's more flexible. Since it's not FI, I doubt it is obstructing airflow. I believe even with the picture you posted, the connection doesn't seem perfectly alligned. As if that person had to force the tube and connector together. Goodluck

Yes this is the UTR CF z-tube. Were you able to use both of the shorter rubber connectors that were supplied? If so a pic may be helpful.
Do you see anything obivously wrong with my setup? If I swap the flexible connector with the one provided it comes up short.
I may have one of you guys take a look at it next time I'm out.
