Buying question

Would you want to buy a car with no mods and do them all yourself? Or would you buy a car that has some mods already done to it?

Most likely buying my G35 next week as long as the car lasts a few more days. But came across another G35 that has quite a few mods with less miles. Kinda on the fence about a car with lots of mods not sure how hard the car was driven.

Thx for your input!

btw mods are:

19" wheels and tires (not too trilled with the wheels)
exhaust
springs, shocks, sways
intake
grill
shift ****
pedals
clear bra

I've always thought that a car with mods, chances are the owner has really pushed the car a lot and that can be a BAD thing in most cases. On that same note however, cosmetically chances are they take care of the car very well (always washing it, watching out for nicks etc) I'd say though that if the car with no mods is what you want and has less miles go for that. I always like putting the mods that I want exactly on the car and seeing the end result.

Thx for your thoughts. I am kinda feeling the samething. It is nice to have some stuff already done but on the other hand really don't know how hard the car has been beat on.

intake and exhaust are hard to screw up from what I hear. This car seems to be lightly modded so I would consider it, if I was in your position. But pratik is right that the car could have been pushed real hard up until now.

I am just having second thoughts about colors now. Might still end up with the CB G35 if it does not sell this week. Won't have the money until next week so we will see.

What other color choices are you looking at? If you can get an '04 IP/Graphite combo get it! Love that combo.

You can't go wrong with silver or graphite.

CB is still my favorite. But saw a really sweet black one this weekend. Then there is the Sand / beige colored one. haha then the IP is nice as well.

Most likely won't do the silver because if you check Autotrader and cars.com there are so many silver ones out there. But you can really get a good deal on a silver one.

Wish my check for the house would hurry up and get here so I can buy my G35 already and stop surfing autotrader. :P
