Yeah I know, it also has no gains with FI applications unlike the crawfordz plenum that shows good gains.

Performance difference from 3/8 to 1/2 isnt much IMO....only reason to get 3/8 is to keep stock engine cover! Vic, I heard the AAM did not include any hardware from more than 1 source...not sure if that has changed since this was the early editions which were sent out

I thought I read a post where they mentioned how to make the engine cover fit with the 1.5 inch spacer. Something about relocating the brass and/or rubber grommets to the top of the cover.

Lek, you going FI anytime soon? I'm gonna keep an eye out for your car when it's on the auction block after they impound it...
Puria, yup, there were packaging issues w/ first run of AAM spacers. The bolts initially shipped were too short and I had a vacuum leak, which I corrected w/ some other bolts from Home Depot. AAM subsequently sent me the correct bolts. I just hope all of the bolt changes didn't weaken the aluminum plenum threads.

Yeah with the first shipment of anything there will always be some problems... and with plenum type products there will be leaking issues. The crawfordz plenum had the same problem with it's first ones but they came out with a DIY and offered to fix it with no charge as well.

On to the FI issue... I really don't know when I will FI the car. I say not until warranty expires but you never know with me. I could have a vortech sitting in my basement tomorrow.... it's just that easy. Twin Turbo however is a bit more pricey and that's what I really want but I'd have to think hard about it plus worry about building up the internals. *SIGH* Only if it was easier.

Turbonetics sounds tempting too - see Kelly's posts in 350.... that said, I'm clinging to the "until warranty runs out" excuse too. Who knows, I might step into a GTR or M3 by then...

Yeah man it's always the excuse of warranty this warranty that but when it comes down to it...if you want it bad enough and have the means you will do it. I've really been thinking of FI as of late. I'm gonna look into the APS kit. The G regardless of what I buy in the future I will be keeping for it's life span hopefully. I really love this car and how it looks, drives, and feels. I think one day it'll end up becoming a classic like the rx7 and supra. The GTR would be a badass car to on though. Who knows whats gonna happen within a year or two maybe I'll be able to afford one. To own a 50-60k car in this day and age you should be making around 100k, when taking into consideration mortage and etc.

I'm there - but yeah, def. gotta think about what interest rates will be when I buy a single family house... might need to move to NC to swing that... I'm torn between the thought of keeping the G forever and making it the toy car, or just upgrading after a couple years. Wonder if they'll ever come out with the M35/M45 in manual?

Right now the G is my only car. But I only drive it on weekends and crap so it's cool. I do want to get another car as my daily. Then I can really get the g to put down some crazy horses. The M45 will be awesome in manual. Maybe a redesign. Im gonna probably buy my mom's townhouse that I'm living in right now, so I'll be all good. I do want a single family home but at the rates houses in ffx county is going for I think I should start off with townhouse first. Probably get an accord, civic, pilot as my daily driver. It'll be the beater car. But house man is sooo important I can't wait.
