Question A/C Question!

How come when I use the A/C Auto Econ, it wants to blow all the air in my face. When I try to change the Mode via mode button, it goes to manually. I would like the keep the Auto Econ on but not all in my face.

I'm not 100% sure but the Auto works like a thermostat for the car. So if you put your temp at 60 and your car's cabin is at 80 its going to put itself on full blast to get it to that temp as quick as possible, and then when it hits the temp you set it at it will lower the speed of the air.

Yeah I understand that but why full blast in my face. We have three options. Top, Floor, or both. Auto sets it to top and top only. I understand the temp setting.

if you set your temp too low and the actual temp too high(makes huge temp dif)
then a/c will run fully.
in order to keep it in auto and not to blast your face, set your temp higher.
otherwise...

change a/c direction so it doesnt blask your face? lol j/k

Yeah, its a thermostat so it will adjust the fan speed accordingly.

Im not talking about the speed of the air. I'm talking about the Top, floor, or both option/mode. Mode actually changes the direction to switch from top, floor, or both. But in auto mode its only top.

Scenario- 1. Press Auto Econ = Top only A/C
2. Press mode to change direction of the air flow. = turn to manually mode.

I hope this help what I'm talking about.

i usually open my window and sunroof so i barely used my a/c.
i think that's common thing for all the cars including my maxima. (well duh! nissan XD)

Yeah Bruce, I think I know what you're talking about and yeah I think it works normally the way you describe. Thats just the way it is. Personally I usually keep it on manual settings so I guess it really doesnt bother me.

Because auto means it's doing it automatically for you. It will choose whether to blow it to your face or feet or whatever.

But it doesn't change. In my truck I can change the direction in auto. Auto should only keep the temp to what you set it to. Not choose the direction it goes.

It does change. Just not often. And depending on the condition in the car. If it's a hot day in the beginning it's full blast all directions as it gets cooler it only goes to feet.

Well for some reason mine don't change direction. The speed change but not the direction.

I found a thread on it. http://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33616
