I've had mine for 2.5 months now and she's starting to fade (especially around the trunk). Unfortunately there's only one car wash area for the entire complex, and the only covered parking is back in the parking garage, which is too dark (and without water) to work.

 

Fortunatelly, my apt complex has a carwash area which is hose-reachable to a covered parking.

HooperX, you could do like me and wake up at 5am and wash there. At that time, there is no sunlight to hit your car. By the end of car wash, its 6am which you get some light, but the water does not evaporate so you can dry w/o waterspots.

Start at 5am, finish 6am (wash) take to shadow are and dry... then do the Zaino stuff.

 

That's actually not a half bad idea. I bet no one else is crazy enough to wash their car that early :-). And after the clay bar, I don't need a hose anymore, right?

 

Nopes, just claybar, wash again and move to dry. Make sure you have it really really soapy when you clay bar or else, soap will stick to the car. Clay bar a small area at a time, and after you finish that section use the hose to rinse that area and look for those spots. If you see spots, clay bar over them and wash untill the clay bar is removed from the metal. The soap sticks to the metal in uneaven parts such as the fenders. Around the rims, since the metal overlaps (not flat surface) so keep an eye out for those parts.

 

You'll want to wash the entire car after you Clay Bar it. You'll be squirting (from a spray bottle) soapy water on the car's surface as you use the Clay Bar to remove any 'deposits' on the car's surface. (Essentially you want the Clay Bar to glide easily on the car's surface and yet "grab" in shear any foreign material on the surface.

As a result of this process, you'll leave behind soap residue and also the now loose foreign material. Thus the need to wash and rinse after Clay Baring your car.

I first Clay Bared my wife's car when it was less than a day old.... and got lots of stuff off!
