Going to the range...

So does anyone here own firearms? I'm thinking about buying a glock and going to the firing range on my free time.

Try the Sig, very comfortable gun. A little more kick. The Glock is a great gun as well , it just doesn't have the kick a 9mm should. If your going higher caliber try the .40. I don't have any guns yet, but I will problably by the end of this year. I used to have a AK-47 and a SKS, both 7.62 x 39mm. Those were great. I had 30 round clips for both and a 75rnd drum for the AK, talk about heavy.

I have a Tech-9 but I highly doubt I'll be bringing that out unless I really have to. I wanted a glock because it's reliable. Good amount of rounds. I'll probably be getting higher caliber guns after that though. Like a .45 maybe.

LoL, Tech 9.....those things were a pain in the a$$ if they got dirty. But a fun gun to shoot. We had a Mac 10 with a hellfire trigger on it. It had a 50 rnd clip and we could shoot almost a whole clip without a jam. But, when that thing got hot it would jam constantly. The AK would only jam when I bought cheap Chinese ammo. The russian hollow point would shoot straight through walls.

For the range and home defense Sig Sauer P229
For personal carry, Sig Sauer P239

I'm not a big fan of glocks. I like having a decocking mechanism (hammer as well). For me, the Sigs are so much more accurate. The range is fun but expensive. I'll spend $100 on ammo (.40 caliber or .357sig) and use that up in 30 minutes. Expensive but fun

Well AK is definitely the most reliable. Why do you think all the 3rd world counties use them? Look at the freaking Taliban and IRAQ. You can drop it in a river or in mud and they would still fire. LOL I'd love to get one, but I really have no war to fight right now LOL

One of my favorite pistols is an H&K USP, my friend in college had one we would take to the shooting range occasionally.

One of my favorite pistols is my backhand. Who needs a gun when I can just steal you in the mouth?

I just had my guns for fun. Don't have any right now, but a few friends of mine want to get into it again. If I got extra cash laying around I will buy something.

^haha pratik, reminds me of a mike tyson quote when they asked what his opponents game plan would be. 'Everyone's got a game plan until they get hit', that quote along w/ one from muhammad ali 'If Frasier continues his retreat, he'll end up in a ringside seat'...cracks me up...
