Funny story...me being a d!ck (sort of)
Saturday I was driving back with a friend of mine from the PG County Silverado Gun show (proud owner of a slightly used pump 12 gauge shotgun
)). We were right around the 95/695 interchange. Coming up 95 there had been this guy in a red Ford Excursion (is that the biggest one?). He was kind of being a d!ck, trying to get around traffic when there was a whole lot of it and no point in changing lanes a million times but he wasn't riding anyone too hard (but he was tailgating a little in heavy traffic). Anyway, the left lane on 95 turns into an exit only lane for 695 so I moved over one. I see him coming up from a ways back (he got caught behind some cars and couldn't keep up with my Jeep
) and he's moving pretty fast, about 80+.
I look over and see an unmarked BUT CLEARLY cop car (turned out to be a State Trooper. It was powder blue, tinted windows but you could clearly see the lights, a HUGE antenna sticking out of the back, and another off the fender I guess for the CB radio. EVERYONE else was going slow. Now, moment of choice, do I block this guy and/or flash my brake lights and help him out, or do I change lanes and let him blow past me. I chose the latter (yes, I'm a d!ck) but he kind of deserved it. He was kind of being a d!ck and if you're too stupid to see a powder blue unmarked, well that's just Darwinism. So I changed lanes.
He blows past the cop (who was doing about 70 or so) going 80+ (at that point on 95 the speed limit is only 55), as soon as he passes the cop he realizes and slams his brakes. The cop gets right behind him and starts riding his @ss. When the guy tried to change lanes he threw his lights on and pulled him over. Yes I could've saved him but god how can someone be so stupid. EVERYBODY else saw him! I have to admit that I laughed pretty hard. I feel like the guy deserved it.

Great work, I wouldve done the same.
If someone is just speeding but not tailgating and acting like an a**hole I always try to give a heads up, but not when they act like that.

You weren't being a **** at all like your title suggests. The guy in the suv deserved it.
I observe these type of situations a lot on the Fairfax county parkway and 95. When an a**hole like this guy drives aggressively, I say to myself "where is a cop when you need one". In your story, a cop just happened to be there.
