Track Day Wheels for a Sedan
To start, I'm currently running the coupe sport wheels which are 19x8.5 +43 up front with 255s and 19x9 +45 with 275s in the rear, front and rear are Indy 500s. Huge upgrade from the duckfeet with all seasons IMO just heavy and will probably continue to be the wheels and tires I daily on. I do have the Akebonos.
Now that I'm a bit closer to having the car track ready I'm looking into getting some lightweight 18s for track use.
I was hoping that I could run 275s all the way around on some 18x10.5s to get the sidewall preloaded and to get some better wear but after reading the square setup thread it doesn't seem like that's possible with the Sedan without major poke(which would potentially cause the fender to eat into the tire at full tilt) / Inner fender clearance issues / hitting the spindle.
Since that doesn't seem to be a very good option I'm thinking 18x10s in the rear and 18x9.5s in the front so I can use 245 or 255 tires in the front and 275 or 285s in the rear with the desired sidewall preload / no bulging.
I'm sure someone else has tried to fit some wider tires on the sedan for track purposes before, what's some recommended wheels? or at least a FUNCTIONAL offset range for the sizes I've mentioned. Preferably budget oriented, but absolutely has to be at least flow formed class of lightweight, nothing competitive planned so forged is pretty much out of the question price wise unless it's the only option.

You sound like you have some track/set up experience already so I recommend staying with your original idea of a square set up. Better front end grip(which this chassis lacks), ability to rotate, and a more neutral/easily rotatable driving experience.
Start with choosing the specific tire you want to run first, look up its TREAD width, and finally choose a wheel that is either the same with the tread or preferably .5” smaller to preload the tire.
I have a feeling you already knew all of that though.
I ran 18x9.5 +35 PF01’s with 275/40 super sports on my sedan. No fender work required and zero rubbing issues.
Some wheels that meet your needs include Apex, Superspeed, and Enkei off the top of my head. I see a lot of people running Konigs newer wheels at the track too.

The coupes body can accommodate but the sedan can't without a good amount of work.

Now just to pick a wheel lol
@DatBrayBray Your experience and knowledge exceeds mine. But, try contacting https://www.superspeedwheels.com/
They market themselves as a racing wheel company and can probably provide some guidance on what sizes and offsets may work for you.

Anyone know if the Konig Hypergrams or Hexaforms would hold up to track abuse? Seem like a really good deal for a sub 20lb wheel. If not what about Motegi MR145s? I'll have to look at superspeeds stuff when I'm not on a limited internet connection.
Wish I could spring for Enkeis but if Konig makes some good stuff its definitely the better option for my wallet, not to mention lighter than RPF1s

Check out Aodhan wheels too. Decent price, flow forged light weight wheels with generally "stronger" spoke designs. I was considering Konigs for my wife's BMW and ended up much happier with a 19x8.5 square set of Aodhan wheels for less than $1100 (on sale) for the wheels. They've been slowly building a good reputation over the past few years. So far they've survived through some nasty highway potholes I can attest to personally...haven't run a set on a track yet though
Oh, also check out Kansei wheels. I have a few friends who currently run or have run their wheels with nothing but good to say. And they track their cars and push them hard.
OZ Racing makes a few decent priced wheels, but seems like you can only buy them from tirerack and choosing offsets can be a pain trying to purchase wheels from tirerack.
