Question Track wheels & tires for sedan

Hi,

I have a g37s sedan.
I'm signing up for some track days in Aug & Sept and I'm looking to buy a set of track wheels & tires.

What size/offset wheels & what tires would you guys recommend?
I was thinking of staying with 18's since I see that theres more tire options available.

I don't have a set budget yet but the cheaper the better.

Are you planning to do this frequently, or just a handful of times a year?

In any case, i've hit the track under various set-ups --- from the OEM staggered 18s, to square set-up 19" Nismo A34s and currently 18x9.5 Enkei RP03s, also a square set-up.

The current 18s are +38 w/ 255/45's.

Enkei RPF1 and and PF01's are also good choices and much lighter. If you're just going a handful of times, any decent affordable wheel will work. Save the extra cash for a good set of tires. If this is your first time (or first few times out) you won't notice much of a difference going with lightweight wheels.

We have a lightweight wheel from TR Motorsports called the C2 that comes in a 21 lbs and a pretty good price. Did you have a tire size in mind as the oem size(s) don't have a dedicated track tire option.
