G35 sedan stock vs camaro ss

Saw this on a camaro forum, didnt want to upset them by telling them you almost lost to a 5 speed auto.
Camaro by .2 so I wonder,
What does a 2013 g37sedan run?

I would believe it more if it was a g37 sedan , but a g35? . A Camaro SS runs low 13s/high 12s at the track. No way a stock g35 sedan is keeping up with a Camaro SS.

It's a g35 sedan, this guy claims he's stock vs that ss, supposedly he owns both?
IMO it's not a v6 because only the guys with v8s have comments.
Power to weight in the g s favor. Camaro barley beat him.

That's me lol I posted in the more recent thread. That's a stock L99 Camaro, in Oklahoma we only have 91 octane so it was in low octane mode because of this supposedly... 280-290 ish whp ?

There's a full bolt on Camaro V6 auto that does mid-high 14's at this track(MagnumForceGB on the Camaro5 forums).

It's public now lol

This race we actually left at the same time, the vid you posted he left first. He pulls ahead when I left it on DS and let it shift for itself.... which shifted into 4th before the 1/4 mile marker, later on in the night I learned to hold out 3rd gear to redline to the 1/4 mile marker and it trapped a solid 1-2 mph more.

Here's versus my friend's stage 2 2011 wrx. He is running cobb intake/turboback exhaust(catted dp, but high flow cats) and cobb accessport stage 2 91 octane tune on base OTS maps. Proof that WRX's aren't as fast as you think, magazine dump the clutch at redline to attain their numbers.... he doesn't do that and here are the results. He uses launch control too.

If you guys have some popcorn on hand and free time you can read the thread in camaro5 forums haha

You need some 93 octane & a lil race fuel.
If your bone stock, just toss on a high flow exhaust & a tune.

Real close, thought you were going to take him out.

Thank for you posting here and confirming this. I see your quarter mile times were 13.6, not bad for a g35 with 122k miles on it.

The new SS is almost a second quicker in testing 0-60 and you should never be able to beat a WRX off the line unless you have all- wheel drive. Then maybe you will stand a chance with the 60ft. So I will say these guys may not be the best drivers. Especially the guy in the camaro if its a real SS.

If its an auto ss, they are down 30+hp vs manual trans.
Plus figure in the added weight at 3800lbs it's no flyweight.
If the g sedan isn't awd, isn't the weight closer to 3500lbs?
