After research I chose Ecutek tune read that there were better results.. how much power did u make on dyno with those mods
Both my Uprev and Ecutek tunes were done as E tunes, so I never had the car strapped to the dyno. I wish I had hp/tq numbers for each, but sadly I don't The 1/4 mile time will be the only test I have to see if it actually picked up any power, it does feel quicker on the Ecutek though.
I'll try DS again soon. I tried it only a couple of times and could not get any better than 13.7X @ 102.XX. On a side note, this car is incredibly consistent. The worst time I got was a 13.8 and at 101+. You should try shifting manually and see if you trap higher in the 1/8th
Ive tried it street racing lol but i lost each time b/c i always redline. im going to keep practing thou i could maybe trap a better time with longer rpms.
Has anyone installed Nos on there G37? Recently i was using a 50 shot of nitrous with no problems so this weekend i upgraded to a 100 shot but received a misfire to cyclinder 6 check engine light came on car only misfire when i shot the nos. i drove the car all the way to empty light went off now drives fine. I didnt have pressure guage to check temperature of nos at track guage broke. Im also tuned on 110 but had just 93 octane. Should i change and use colder spark plugs or should i use 110 octane and use pressure guage ofcourse for the right temperature and try it again? 50 shot put me in the low 8s around 8.2 8.4 but with the bigger shot i should be well in the 7s for the 1/8 mile. nothing major happen after shooting the 100 besides throttle going in and out down the track from cylinder 6 misfire thinking nos was to cold. but there was no poping or back firing, smoking etc. Some say with the colder plugs you lose power and also cause engine failure when not using FI or Nos any ideas?

Ran a 14.047 @ 98.89 MPH in my 07 35X. Catback and Stillen Gen 3 are my mods, but the car is rather high mileage compared to most users (122k). I know I can get into the 13's, kinda wish I had a G37x instead though would put me further ahead since it has more power to begin with.

My car has 144k miles and it ran a 13.5 @ 103. The only thing I've noticed is that the transmission is starting to jerk and and clunk at low speeds. I never had an issue with the 5AT in my old G35...
LPV36, that's a friggin' awesome time. Do you have any mods to it? Also curious as to your track's elevation and outside temps when you ran. I'm trying to better understand how these variables impact 1/4 mile times. There are DA calculators out there, which I've inputted numbers into and they spit out adjusted e.t.s, but I really want to hit 13s without having a calculator LOL. Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, AZ, where I raced, has an elevation of 1,145 ft above sea level.

Thank you I have OBX test pipes and K&N drop-ins. The car is otherwise stock. I run at Island Dragway and E-town Raceway which are both fairly at sea level and both located in NJ. I drive about an hour and 15 min to get there and race about 20 min after arrival--no cool down. Temps are usually low 50s to 60 degrees when I go. I decreased the rear tire pressures to 20 PSI on that 13.5 run. I was doing 13.5-6 all night. I am hoping to dip into the low 13s @ 105+ with Stillen Gen 3 intakes, CBE and tune; possibly Ecutek. What are you running at that drag strip?
I made four passes - forgetting to turn off VSC on the first three runs. On my fourth pass, I ran 14.032 @ 100.31 with a .390 R/T, 2.201 60' time, and a 9.124 1/8th mile e.t. That was my best run of the night. It was in the mid-80s temp wise.
Planning to run again next Friday night. I've since replaced my spark plugs, cleaned my throttle bodies, and had the Infiniti dealership re-flash the ECU with the most-current software to get rid of a P0106 code. Maybe I'll be faster. Fingers crossed.
Also worth noting is that I brought three friends that night. In our group we had a 2015 FR-S (M/T), 2016 WRX (A/T), and a 2005 Volvo S60R (A/T). None of those guys got remotely close to their magazine-test 1/4-mile times. In all cases, they were at least a full second behind. The WRX was the most-surprising, but I guess he had like 18 different traction control buttons/sport modes/shenanigans going on and he just couldn't get it sorted out in a way that allowed him to be quick. He was running consistent mid-16s.

Damn that's a good time. Like I said I'm on an HR motor so no VVTI and less displacement . I'd be happy with a 13.9 so I'm almost there. My friend's dad does Spark plug indexing so I'll try and do that this summer, and perhaps get a tune.
Finally broke into the 13s tonight - albeit just barely. Interestingly enough, my two best times in this car happened at 9:24 pm over a month apart.
This time I skipped the brake hold/rev it slightly/slingshot technique and instead just punched it off the line on the third yellow. Netted my best 60' time to date and best e.t.
Congrats! So what were the temps like at 9:24?... Guessing a bit cooler air the later it got, so that might have helped?
Also, just curious, but what's the track elevation?
Thanks! Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park is in Chandler, Arizona. Temp at that time was 80.1 F, humidity was around 11%, and the track elevation is 1,145 ft.
