fyi-i only got to take the 335i for a few laps until it went to limp mode. it was my friend's car and he never got to drive it. we had to tow her to a dealership.....$230 track day / limp mode after 30 min of track time = pwnage...lol.
^^ that sucks lol, they should have oil coolers or something to fix the problem for that now though.

it was a 6sp MT with the sport package.....it had the oil cooler. the 335i goes into limp even with oil coolers but not all, it's very strange...there are guys who track their cars and find no problems...then there are guys who just use it to commute and they go limp...quite a few instances of this in the bimmer /e90 forums. i can't make heads or tails of it. it may just be an ecu program that needs a re-flash update?

335 from a dig wil beat us stock for stock.. The 335 also adjusts it's boost timing (or something like that) for altitude. So the higher the altitude the more the 335 should have an advantage.

From a roll under the best conditions it's a drivers race and depending on the gear the G might pull.

I watched a video testing by Motor Trend I believe, and the 335i went into limp mode because it was running too hot on the track. The G37 kept going with no problems.

I thought that the one's with sport package came with the intercoolers. Non-sport did not have one.

I think when first realesed none had them, or it had a severe over heating problem.. but i remeber most 335i's had the intercooler problems.

My understanding is that originally only the sport package had the oil cooler but now they all do. My BMW service advisor also told me they have a TSB out for the high pressure fuel pump because a lot of them are failing.

before going for my G37, i dropped by the BMW dealer... saw a very nice what i thought to be a 335 in red and had it not been for the single odd looking exhaust tip i wouldve never been able to tell its a 320!! costed around half the price of the 335 and theyre all over the place here...dont turn as many heads no more. However a G is a G37..not a G20 not a G25 not a G-lookin half the price G... check me out makin necks do 360's haha
