dont get me wrong both are great cars and i respect the 335 a lot. but there's no point in trying to justify the cost difference for two cars that are so similar
G37 + 20k mods > stock 335i.

I already purchased 335i. It all comes down to price if you purchase NEW.....G wins in price department....

I was looking at used G37S and used 335i...and 335i was cheaper.

and to the above post: used Porsche 911 4S > G37 + 20k mods

and 335i + 700 bucks > M3

Who in a right mind would spend 20k on mods and void 100% of warranty.....unless you have rich parents and 16 years old. The only reason I decided to get the tune for my 335i was simple because it was dirt cheap ($160 bucks)

umm most people that put a lot of money into modding are older, not 16 yrs old...

and if you are going to spend 20K or any significant amount of $$ on modding, the warranty is not something to be worried about

I hate BMW b/c it's a status symbol for 99% of the people that own them and that's it.

I dont hate BMW i would love to own an e92 M3. Its just fanboys that come on here compare a TT bmw to a a stock NA v6. I mean comon the NA infiniti v6 does compete with the 335i in certain departments but of course having turbos from factory will give that car the certain edge. Lets TT the G then we will talk.

There is no TT on G. it will blow up. Its the same as saying lets see 2 BIG turbo kits on 335i or lets put a TT V8...... Everything is made the way its made to work 100% safe and trouble free. My previous M3 was NA V6 3.2L and would still eat G 3.7V for lunch. Whats the point here ?

Why did I buy BMW ? For status ? I wanted G35 Coupe, and then test drove M3, I wanted G37S and then test drove 335i..........the winners were pretty clear to me. Road feel, handling, steering, power, amazing torque.........its the whole package

You OBVIOUSLY don't know what you're talking about. There are SEVERAL G's that have been TT'd. GTM makes a TT kit for the G37.

Check your facts then get back to us.

and about the 20K in mods.........Probably if you are a real car fanatic and do some VERY tasteful mods and over time end up spending 20k........I suppose thats ok......

I live and lets say hang out in a different community. If I tell any of my friends that i invested in real estate, they will say good for you, and if I say I spent even 2-3k for car mods........they will look at me like i am stupid.

I have friends with money and I have friends with taste, they dont mod, they buy expensive cars.......SL55, E92 M3, RS4........etc....

and maybe there is a JET powered 335i..........I dont really give a ****. You can mod G37S just like you can mod 335i (if not cheaper and easier) so it pretty pointless to argue about who has what mods....

and SEVERAL sounds a bit funny, in 335i community every other member has either stage 2 or stage 3. Stage 3 being faster then E92 M3 and cost only like 700 bucks vs 10K for a G37 TT kit that will kill every living part in the car if they are not upgraded. < but thats not even important

just saying you should check your facts before you make a claim like that. If you don't give a **** then don't get so worked up it

335 power falls flat on its face as it approaches redline. No wonder you don't want to redline it.

Don't know why you make it such a big deal. Rev the G 1k higher. It makes the same power. It does have a higher redline for a REASON.

I suppose you'd hate real race engines, even high displacement ones. They make jack squat for power at the low end. Ever heard of cams?

I am sure there are TT G37Ss......there is no doubt about it......

I meant they dont come stock with TT, and reliability will drop dramaticly

Having torque at upper RPM range its like not having it until you reach that 5.2k mark, and when it comes at 1.4k, you have that torque almost 100% of the time when you drive. In new 335 its even lower at 1.2K

these are different cars but but he does talk about what i said above

YouTube - Top Gear BMW M3 vs Lexus ISF
You make no sense. You wouldn't have fun with nearly double the torque at about the same RPM?

Your butt dyno is severely flawed. You go by feel, I go by empirical evidence. Go to school, learn about cars, get some actual experience, and then come back and we'll have a discussion.
