The G sure as hell doesn't.
On dry road i was never able to loose tracktion on m3 even with traction control off.
A4 is a different story, its a performance oriented sedan, not a sports car. Very nice, very good handling even without sport suspension, loved awd, 30-32 mpg, and if u disconnect servotronic steering fuse, the steering becomes like on 335 or even better.

never loose traction on an E46 M3? one of the best things about the E46 M3 was the ability to bust the tail out (very controlable) at any corner at will.

yeah SMG II. the thing was great. and its not just launch control (which i used only 2 times). it packs many other cool features and actually feels like you are driving a manual (SMG is manual tranny with auto-hydrolic clutch)

i am familiar with the e46 m3. the smg II was great at the time (minus the constant 'bucking')...but in today's world, dual clutch DSGs is where it's at.

No offence Kolyan but you're wasting your money buying performance/sports car if you're going to baby them, those cars were designed to be abused!! All you need to do is service regularly and you're good to go

cant agree with you. i dont baby my cars but i dont abuse them

edit: ps....its been some time and so far i am very happy with my purchase of 335.......if anyone wants to race, let me know. with $160 mod that took 2 minutes to install, i am right around 370 hp and 380 lb-ft. Never thought i will end up needing more power, but for $160 its a crime not to get

lol this kid is funny. obviously he doesnt push his cars. i redline my 37 daily without issue. 335 is a gorgeous car and lots of power for sure, but it just wasnt a smart buy to me. if im going to spend $ to mod a car, the 37 was just such a better bargain to me. not to mention i hate the 335/a4/s5 interiors.

with 380 lb-ft or even stock about 330 lb-ft you dont really need to redline the car to get all the fun because it comes at 1,400 RPMs, where as in G37S you get 270 lb-ft at 5,200

Why don't you go buy a diesel truck? 650 ft/lbs at 1500 rpm. Oh, and its cheaper than both a G and a 335.

Double the torque double the fun right?

Actually no......

When I drove G37S, I had to push the car to about 5k+ RPMs to get good acceleration, with 335i I only have to rev the car to 3-4K and it takes off hard.

Having torque at upper RPM range its like not having it until you reach that 5.2k mark, and when it comes at 1.4k, you have that torque almost 100% of the time when you drive. In new 335 its even lower at 1.2K

these are different cars but but he does talk about what i said above

ps. it was the same with Stage 1 A4 (about 280 tq), big *** kick at 2.8k rpms and after that torque is linear.....never had to redline the car.....on most highway merges and stop lights when i needed power (not race) just rev up to 3-4k and everyone is behind you.....the big disappointment here was that after about 4k i wanted more power but it was never there......with 335i power is EVERYWHERE.

if you love the 335 so much go ahead and pay 15-20k more for a COMPARABLE car with less aesthetics and minutely more power...
dont get me wrong both are great cars and i respect the 335 a lot. but there's no point in trying to justify the cost difference for two cars that are so similar
