Question Switching from Straight Pipe

I bough an 09 g37x and it is straight piped. It is too loud for mine and my neighbors' tastes and I wanted to quiet it down. I'm wondering what's a good way to both do this and also get a bit of an upgrade with the exhaust. I'm interested in switching to a single exit as well. What parts would make the biggest difference to lower sound and/or increased performance?

I don't have the stock cats, resonator or anything. It's all been deleted

adding a muffler wil be the biggest help. There are many high flow muffler as options, Magnaflow being quite popular.
