On a different note_ I"ve been entertaining the idea of parting out my G and getting a full year round vehicle. The G will be paid off next year so it would be pure profit. Not planning to make any decision any time soon but just wanted to here some input.

i'm an advocate of having a more practical car (part of the reason i made the switch) but at the same time, your g is your passion. think about it hard and deep, if you are not as passionate about it anymore, mayhbe it is something you should consider. most of your stuff is bolton, so it should be an easy process. or maybe sell some stuff and make it more functional, and not a car you ahve to completely baby.... that may change your mind. it's a reliable car, and you could drive it year round, if you werent so worried about being that low and the car getting dirty and stuff.
you also have one of the most head-turning g's, can you deal with not having that? i'm still not used to having a car that completely blends in to the crowd.

If you really want to downsize, then it isn't a bad idea. Iv parted out my car and really don't look back at all... dont worry about it as much anymore, dont have problems getting into any parking lots, i can take it downtown, it is less punishing to drive on long distances etc.
Yea, they don't turn as many heads stock, but boy, when you see your bank account with the mod money in it, it feels so much better lol. Id rather start saving for a house and house mods as well lol.

I was in your same boat for months. And finally made the decision a couple weeks ago. The peace of mind and practicality alone are worth it.
And I completely 110% agree with janik. Make it more practical but then you probably won't want it anymore .. It's a tough decision. But take it from me, as much as it ducked seeing it drive off, having a more reliable comfortable and practical car that's still fun to drive year round wins. It's all dependent on your situation.

But in all honesty tevi, you have put so much into it at this point that it would be dumb to part out unless you are just tired of the car/G scene. I mean how much more can you spend on that if you don't TT it? I dont think there is too much damage you can do to the pocket book at this point, its already been done
. I honestly don't mind storing it for the winter, there is no better feeling in the spring pulling the G out once the snow is gone, feels like a new car!

I have more money now to do the things I want, when I want, and a car that wont have mysteries anymore if something weird starts clunking or something. Idk, i like my nearly stock car.
Tevi, you should just make it nearly stock, then slap some 18s and winter tires on and drive it for another year or two. Take the mod money, pay it off, and enjoy a year or two of no payments.
Then in that time, do house mods haha.Im a bad influence lol

Maybe something will come up in this discussion that I haven't considered yet and sway me on way or another. so thanks to those who have already chimed in and to those who probably will later.

parting out your g is the dumbest thing I've heard all day
It's not pure "profit" as you won't get the $$$ back you put into it.... it's pure cash though which isn't bad but if it's not an issue I don't see the point
