Official *MN G CREW* rAnDoM chat thread/room
I have to get a new battery...and install the b*tch before Saturday or I'll be riding w/ someone. The battery is official 100% shot in the G, wont' even hold a charge after its running and shut back off. Have had a trickle charger even on it and STILL won't start. UGH....oh well, time for an Optima? I'm thinkin' soooooo!!!!!
Keep in mind, you def won't lock up as easy with the 275's....but they def are easier to chirp!

Haha, I agree!!
Just found out my right rear tire has a small puncture wound in it and that is what is causing my leak. It's a small leak but still noticeable over a week. I'm going to fill it up Sat AM and hope it holds out just fine through the cruise. Been driving on it for the past month or so now so I'm assuming this shouldn't affect it. I'm thinking of going with the Super Sports this time around, the tires alone are 5 pounds lighter over my old RE760s! But of course they are a bit more spendy than the RE760s, but I will take the weight savings!
Any thoughts from others? My sizing of 285/30/20 limits it a bit and I'm not sure if I wanna drop to a 275/30/20 since I love how my wheels in the back sit now....but I will have to do some looking.

I'll give you my impressions this weekend after I get them mounted. lol
Yea I'm planning to
I wanted to last weekend but my backseat was filled with my backpack and Shannan had an overnight bag in case plus some other stuff. I called discount tire after checking my dealer pricing and they are going to match them for 293 a tire
But the total still came to 669, so I'm going to check and see how much they charge for mounting and balancing to see. I only need 2 but I don't know if that price includes tax, if it does then I'll be happy with that
I mean I won't be extatic but it's only 20 bucks more than the Pole Positions or something similar at the top end. I'm happy my Bridgestones lasted as long as they did tho, they made it through 2 summers and almost 20,000 miles. I realize it isn't great but given how much I was ripping on them in my M and was in my G I'll take it. If it wasn't for the puncture I'd hold off until next year....I still might and just let the 18s sit on there for a bit
haha i'm in a much better mood nowadays.... that car stressed me out... but you'll only see me in the random chat thread.. haha
I went with the Super Sports after about 4.5 hours of research. Basically, what I'v been reading is they are like doing a suspension mod without ever having to touch anything. Consistently ranked at the top of their field.. people say they didn't think they'd notice a difference between these and any other summer tire out there but apparently there is. Grip is incredible...

The other thing (that initially brought me to the Michelins) is that they are a very smooth tire with good ride quality and noise levels, especially for a high performance summer tire.
Thats basically what I was looking for haha.

Sounds good! I'm going to pick them up very soon actually. Yea I don't do too much hard driving anymore, but I do like the feeling of them and for all the trips I do and in town driving it would be nice to have even more grip plus a lighter tire....especially since my 085s are so heavy already
