Janik, I've been taking it to Lupient Infiniti. The best way to descripe the first issue would be what sounds like a supercharger whine. I'm having a hard time deciphering if it's coming from the front or the rear while driving. Step on the gas, she begins to whine, let off the gas, it seems to go away. Lupient told me it was a noisy fuel pump. At the time I figured that could be the issue and told them to fix the damn thing. After driving it for awhile, it clearly was not causing the problem and Lupient doesn't seem to want to help. I'm thinking either a belt or possibly a wheel bearing.
The other issue I asked them look into was the smell of burning oil once the car was warmed up and shut down. I asked them to pull the valve covers off to look at the spark plug tubes to see if any oil was pooling in there, but the guy told me in his 20+ years of experience he's only seen that happen once and it wouldn't be worth the time/money.... I then referred to the forum and my research into the issue where he began to tell me not to trust the Interenet and so on and so forth. I would like to think the many members who drive these cars daily and have dealt with these issues have some know how. From what I can tell, it doesn't appear to be leaking oil onto the undertray or exhaust manifold. I also don't appear to be having any oil consumption issues. Also, the smell seems to be near the intake tube on the drivers side. Regardless, I could check the above myself if I had a garage/time, but it's tax season and I don't have a garage.

The car is an auto hot sauce.. Mike it sounds a lot like a belt. Wheel bearings have a deep "whoop whoop" noise web they turn. I it's whining, that sounds a lot like a belt. As far as gas fumes go, they seem to do that when it's colder out. Hell, my new g does it occasionally as does Andrews. Little smell of gas here and there. Apparently other people do it to. Btw, we pulled Neil's spark plugs on his 04 and he had a little oil in cyl 6 but he's been driving it for awhile now with no problems pertaining to that. I don't think you should be having any p those issues with only like 76k. I'd like to hear what tr noises sound like however. Does it always do it or go away when it's warm?
Btw we just drove through Baxter mn, this tiny *** town up in northern mn and there was an 04 6mt g sedan at one of the little dealers lol we were like wtf

I'm pretty certain that was when you guys were leaving Legends and coming to Kathy's. Or just shortly before we left for Kathy's
Shouldn't be too surprising, that's right next to Brainerd and lake country. There's a ton of really nice cabins in the area. Lot's of people with money.
Now that's impressive! I looked at my phone from my 21st last weekend and it appears I lost the ability to use the English language at a 1st grade level...
That sounds extremely similar to the strange noise I've been having with mine! I was guessing my sound was coming from the rear. I only heard the noise while on the gas as well. If it was a wheel bearing wouldn't it make noise while coasting and while on the gas?

Janik, there's no issues with gas fumes. I would be ok with that, it's the smell of oil burning that I'm talking about. Also, the whine noise is constant whether cold or warmed up.
I'm actually on the same page with you there. I guess I was just throwing out ideas. The belt makes more sense than anything, but with a quick inspection, mine appear fine.

As far as the oil burning smell... i have no idea. Neils car never did that and we knew it had oil in one of the spark plug tubes... im really lost. Don't think the car ever made a burnt oil smell while I owned it. Does it smoke??
20X9+24 and 20X10.5+45 are the offsets I am fairly sure. Should sit pretty nicely.
