U gotta do square on awd. Even the tires have to be the same specs. Do they not have any choice in offsets beside the 2 u mentioned above? If u don't want to do too much to the body u should stay at 36. If u wanna be awesomely different than others. do 25 n camber n pull fenders.

My question, if I decide to run 20's, these come in 20 x 9 with a 25 or 36 offset. I want to run the same wheel on all four corners with no rubbing or poking issues dropped on Swift X springs, so I am assuming the 36 offset and spacers.......correct??

Sure glad I decided not to mod this car......

Thanks guys,

D. Wan and I were having this conversation just last night Anyways... on to your question. I'm all for flush fitment so I would actually recommend a 20 x 9 with +25. If the rear was a 10.5 it would poke out with that offset but with narrower wheel and lower offset you will end up seating nice and flush.

It might be getting too late for your big trip next week, but have you guys thought about putting car bras on instead of going through all that painters tape? Painters tape comes off pretty easy once it gets wet.

I have bras for all my 3/Ses. I even attach the license plates too them. So when I take longer trips, I put the bra on, and I have a front plate. Then when I get where I'm going, I take the bra off. I've been doing that for the last 12 years. Works pretty good. You for sure don't want to leave the bra on full time and trap water under it. Plus cars look ugly with them. But they do work.

I see Colgan makes bras for G37s. (they even have mirror covers available) Of course there are so may bumper options on Gs, I'd be worried about the fitment. Plus, if you have any kind of aftermarket front end parts, a bra probably won't work. But if you can get one that fits, they are a lifesaver on longer trips.

later,
Curt

Yeah, painters tape is a bit more cost efficient. For under $10- I can cover the entire front end of my car.

Sure it is, but it can take 30 minutes to cover your car with painters tape. I can put the bra on or off in 30 seconds. Plus I've used mine hundreds of times. Which would equate to $1,000 worth of painters tape.

Doubt I'll find a bra that will fit my Zele bumper so painters tape it is for me. Plus if you consider that I will not take any trip like this for quite some time, the $10 in painter's tape is the better purchase

Curt - you make a valid point. I just very rarely put tape on unless we do a very long trip.
